Title says it all, I can start games just fine and they are rendered correctly in the right resolution, but it wont display on the DK2. The blue light on the webcam turns on but the light on the Rift stays orange. My PC is recognizing the Rift correctly and I have played non-Vorpx games on it. I have looked at so many other forums and have done everything they have said, but I couldn’t find someone with the same problem I have.

EDIT: I believe it has something to do when I change the display mode to “Extend Desktop to the HMD”. When I have this set I run into the same problem when I try to run non-Vorpx games.

You have two options to use vorpX:

    A. The convenient one (works with most games)

    1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
    2. Use the Rift DK2 as SECONDARY monitor in Windows
    3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
    4. Set vorpX to “Show on DK2″ display wise in the vorpX config app.

    B. The compatible one

    1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
    2. Use the Rift DK2 as PRIMARY monitor in Windows
    3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
    4. Set vorpX to “Use system settings” display wise in the vorpX config app.

It is important to choose the right setting in the vorpX config app according to your display settings in Windows. It is important to choose the right setting in the vorpX config app according to your display settings in Windows.

Thanks a lot! I finally got it working after fiddling with settings and restarting my comp like 3 times, lol. One question though, when I’m playing a game like Skyrim or Payday2, I’m not fully immersed in the game because I can still hit the edge of the screen with my view, and that moves the entire view off center. When I want to aim down the sights of my gun or bow, its off to the side or a little to low and I have to constantly be looking around me until the screen is re centered just to be thrown off again, anyone know of a fix?
