VorpX + SteamVR tabbing issue

For some reason, whenever I try to tab out of Dark Souls III when using VorpX and SteamVR, whenever I go to tab back in it infinitely displays the “Waiting for Dark Souls III…” thing that SteamVR does for games. This has only happened using VorpX and no other VR game has caused this for me. How do I fix this issue

yes i have the same issue, i dont recall having this issue before (and by before i mean months ago).

only fix is to relaunch the game.

it sucks because i need to tab out in this game to activate the CE script to get first person mode

I don’t think this is something new. When you alt-tab away from a game it will release the graphics device and reacquire it when you tab back. Vorpx, in turn, has to release it’s hook and reacquire it, which doesn’t always work as intended.

You can try running in windowed mode instead of fullscreen or vice versa – it might make a difference. If you need to run a script, as a workaround, you can set a shortcut key in windows 10 or use a 3rd party hotkey utility.
