Anyone seen a similar problem? I can open vorpxconfig.exe, but most of the options lead to immediate crash with the above error message.
Ran fine with version 16, but version 17 is broken.

Jan 4, 2017 at 1:00pm #124319RalfKeymasterFirst please try whether disabling/uninstalling your antivirus maybe fixes the issue for you. If it does, exclude the vorpX program folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX) from scanning.
Also try to reinstall the DotNet 4.6 Framework. Looks like you are using Windows 7, where this is not installed per default. The vorpX installer should take care of that, but maybe it failed. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48130
And finally please check whether you maybe have a “System.Data.SQLite.dll” or “SQLite.Interop.dll” in your C:\Windows, C:\Windows\System32, C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder or anywhere below the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework” folder. If so, remove them from these folders and see whether that helps. Maybe there is an outdated version of one of these DLLs on your system that is loaded instead of the one that comes with vorpX.
If none of that helps: vorpX can be used without ever touching the config app. The issue itself will be looked into, unfortunately it’s not reproducible here so far.
Not ideal, but provided it’s just the config app crashing and everything else is fine, you can fully use vorpX without the config app. All default profiles are automatically available and activated.
If you use a Rift, it should work without doing anything. If you use a Vive or another SteamVR headset, please follow the steps below:
1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Animation Labs\vorpX
2. Open vorpX.ini with a text editor of your choice
3. Set sDeviceName=HTCViveCV1 (second line in the ini). The ProgramData folder may be hidden. To show it, enable “Show hidden files” in the Windows Explorer options.
Jan 4, 2017 at 4:39pm #124325davidwParticipantOK, now it’s fixed. I had to re-install DOTNet 4.6.2 Framework. Now, there are no crashes. Thanks for all your help!
Jan 4, 2017 at 4:40pm #124327keenerbParticipantI don’t even have dotnet 4.6.2.
I’ve reinstalled 3.5 and 4.5 though…
Jan 4, 2017 at 5:30pm #124332keenerbParticipantInstalled dotnet 4.6.2, problem appears resolved.
Is 4.6.2 a required dotnet version and I just missed it?
