What does the peek function do?

I am just wondering what the middle mouse press peek function does. When I press it I cannot figure out what it is doing that’s if it is doing anything.

It allows you to look around the screen. This is useful for seeing maps, health bars etc. in corners, which are often hidden in the Rift.

Ralf but when I press it i’m still not sure what it is doing? Where exactley does it peek? I am using the zoom out feature to see the whole screen because I am still unsure how the peek function works.

Try to look around while you press the button. You should be able to look around the screen this way. Releasing the button switches back to a centered view.
