Just out of curiosity, what scripting language is Vorpx written in? How many years and time did it take to be able to program like this? I’m just starting out with c++ in hopes of maybe someday program for the rift.
vorpX is mainly written in C++ and HLSL (for the shaders). Until you undertake a project like vorpX you should have a few years of programming experience, and just as important, you need to have some math skills – and a lot of time.
If you want to start creating something for the Rift right away, using the Unreal or Unity engine might be the better choice than doing everything from scratch.
