Hi i updated to the vorpx version vorpx recommends for W3 next gen latest patch. I am unable to change to G3D , further fov adjustment dont change anything, to me the game looks like z3d. I tried both DX11 and DX12. I have some mods installed ( the same mods i used to play in G3D goty installed) So what are the recommended setup to get next gen to run in G3D ? THX 4 hlp.

    Please make sure to

    a. update Witcher 3 to the latest version (currently 4.04, NOT 4.02)
    b. Install vorpx 24.1.0 (linked on the front page)

Hi, so i did as instructed. Updated to th 4.04 version .Vorpx 24.1.0 . Windowed setting . No mods installed. I confirmed the dialogue when vorpx wants to install additional content. I started the game in dx12. In game i opened vorpx console and ticked full vr mode. All i got is a z3d image, in vorpx setting changing the fov has no effect.
Next i run the game in dx11. The game will start and shuts down immediately.

Further i noticed an additonal mod (modvpx ) gets installed in my mods folder when DX12 is chosen. . This i causing a script compilation error , that not fixable .

(sidenote,, one time i run in dx11 the loading screen of was actually in g3d but upon staring game play it switched back to z3d… )

That sounds as if the Witcher version and the mod version do not match. Please double check that you really have the latest Witcher update installed.

Also make sure that you didn’t accidentally disable automatic profile updates in the config app.

If that still doesn’t help, uninstall the game, delete its folder and reinstall to be 100% there really is no other mod installed that might get in the way.

Last but not least (just mentioning it, not suggesting anything) make sure that you don’t accidentally use a non-legit version of the game. Should that have been the case, please make sure to never ask for support here again.
