BazseeParticipant
I’m out of ideas right now…maybe Ralf will see the thread and offer some kind of advice.
BazseeParticipantAh so Windows 8.1. There is a post here on the forum stating:
“Contrary to the vorpX 0.71 documentation you may have to set the display orientation to “Landscape Flipped” instead of “Portrait” when using Windows 8.1.”
Also you can try restoring the game config in vorpX config -> Trouble hooting -> selecting the game -> Restore Selected
Or if that doesn’t work, do a full factory reset on the same page.
BazseeParticipantDid you set the Oculus screen to portrait mode in Windows display settings? Also is it 1920×1080 resolution?
Does it work with other DK2 applications?
BazseeParticipantDid you apply the optimization settings from vorpX config?
BazseeParticipantI meant, with vorpX running.
BazseeParticipantIf you put on the headset this way, do you see double of everything?
BazseeParticipantI’ve had similar while running Live for Speed AND vorpX at the same time and they both make the view Oculus compatible, so it is “double Oculusified”. Try it without vorpX and see if it’s showing on the Oculus.
BazseeParticipantDo you by and chance have teamviewer on your computer? Its driver can conflict with the Oculus DK2.
BazseeParticipantBazseeParticipantGood news! I’ve managed to fix the thing!
I used this tutorial: http://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/2cu0qq/how_i_got_my_dk2_working_with_positional_tracking/
The problem was my Teamviewer installing its own driver for the rift display while extended mode.
I’ve also notified OculusVR of this bug, maybe Ralf could make a sticky post or something with this information.
BazseeParticipantI have the latest Oculus Runtime (0.4.1, Rev 1).
Vorpx.log only contains this if i start it with extended display mode:INF: VorpControl: Starting.
ERR: vorpControl: No Rift found.By the way, with extended mode, neither the Oculus Configuration Utility can find the HMD.
I’ve already reinstalled the whole Runtime after uninstalling and cleaning it from the system, but no luck.
BazseeParticipantIt’s turned on, the LED is blue when i use extended display mode. I’ve rebooted already a couple of times, i’ve changed USB ports, “Use system settings” is selected, but no luck so far.
