Just though I would follow up here. A factory reset in the VorpX configuration settings did the trick.
Not only is Red Dead 2 working in my HP Reverb G2, it looks incredible!
This is what I’ve been waiting for for a very long time!
Lucky enough to be rocking a 3090. (It pays to be a working adult)
For any other Reverbers out there. To get the most out of your Reverb be sure to go into the settings in WMR app and bump up the display resolution from 720 to 1080i.

Nevermind on the above post. I went back to try RDR2 on my Valve and it’s not working in 3D now either. Something must have gotten borked when I was transitioning over to my G2. I’ll trouble shoot back to it’s initial state.
    Thanks!

This is primarily a question aimed at Ralph.
Ralph, I just got my HP Reverb G2 and it’s working great with VorpX.
    Cyberpunk 2077 looks FANTASTIC!
However one of my favorite titles: Red Dead Redemption 2 is hooking, but it’s not displaying in 3D on either of the Z 3D settings. Would you have any thoughts on trouble shooting this particular title? I know it’s hard without your hands on the hardware.
I’ve played 60+ hours on the Valve Index with no problems, so I’m pretty sure it’s isolated to Windows new MWR drivers.
I’m at your service if there’s anything I can do to help support your product. If you would like to remote into my gaming rig, be my guest.
    Thanks!

forlaunchcast… I play with it completely disabled. Not sure there is a way to re-map it.

See if temporarily disabling asynch/fluidsynch from the vorpX delete menu Display Settings page helps any with stuttering.

I haven’t done too much testing yet, but it seemed to help in the couple of cases I was having choppy frame motion. But it’s also possible there are more than one causes for similarly described “choppy or stuttering”.

One launch was very severe, in which case restarting the game resolved it. I encounter the random hiccups for a few seconds on occasion, but most of the time things are good.

Turn off asynch/fluidsynch and see if it does anything.

After much trouble-shooting this evening… THIS WAS MY PROBLEM! The DirectMode Async Render was causing some major jerky stuttering. It’s turned off and it’s smooth sailing. I hope this post helps someone else who might have the same problem.

Thanks for chiming in. Didn’t even occur to me to test it without VorpX running. I’ll check out the article and will test without VorpX and will post back if I find anything.
You are playing with RDR2 in VorpX and you’re not getting stutter? My gaming rig has never let me down to date… I wonder what’s up with it now…

EDIT: After reading more online about RDR2… Seems like that is most likely the problem. Lot of PC gamers struggling with it regardless of what specs they have under the hood. Such a shame.

I’ve got a performance question. I’m loving the new RDR2 VorpX profile.
    The game looks beautiful.
However I’m struggling with some environmental stutter that’s distracting.

I have what should still be considered a decent rig:
    1080TI, i7-7700K and 32GB DDR4.

What’s odd is there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable improvement in the stutter even when I turn the graphics settings ALL THE WAY DOWN. It seems to be unrelated to FPS.
Anyone else experiencing this and perhaps toyed with any settings that improved it? I’d be happy to upgrade to a 2080TI if I knew it would solve this, but I think it might just be that Z3d is still so new with Dx12 that it’s the price to play in the Beta stage. (Which if that’s the case, I’m happy).

    Thanks in advance, VorpX community!

    Ralph,
Are you pushing to get this done because you are dedicated to your product? Or because like everyone else in this forum… You’ve been ruined and can only ever truly be immersed in a game with a headset on with 3D working and this game is on your list of must plays?
    Perhaps both?
Regardless… A GREAT BIG THANK YOU!

This is awesome! I’m a developer myself and right now Ralph, you the most important developer in my world! I spent lots of time yesterday trying to feed RDR2 any sort of launch command that might trigger an unofficially supported dx11 launch. No luck. This post made my month! Thanks Ralph. I’ll spread the word for you. You make a great product. I hope it’s profitable, as there are no other alternatives on the market right now.

If anyone else comes here looking to play Borderlands 3 in glorious VorpX geometry 3D… Use the Conarium profile and increase 3D strength to 3 or 4. Works beautifully. Enjoy!
