Yep. Basically DirectVR is already cache. I re-ran it just to be sure and it gives the same result. Note, everything else works fine just the hands give the impression that everything is zoomed in… When looking at someone play Half-Life 2 using Vorpx you can see the hands in HL2 are extended to be much longer so the gun isnt in your face. I just want to know if this is just something you have to put up with or is there a fix.

I finished the game earlier today (at around 15hrs). I must say, once you get past the learning curve with how the game controls and you realize that HL: ALyx is not trying to be just a HL game redone in VR, this game flourishes as a VR epic journey. The ending is extremely consequential to the franchise.

However, I really would like it if Valve added a NewGame+ mode for replay value. I want to replay the combat sequences but cannot stand to do all the collecting and a lot of he puzzles again.

3 hours in, I think its a good game that could be made great through fixes to the controls. It just doesn’t control the way i want it to. It feels cumbersome to play. The literal pace is too slow. No sprinting and lack of point to recenter is a bummer. They should’ve taken notes from Pavlov. Motion is much more fluid in Pavlov.

On the Index controller the turn on the joystick is too close to the teleport button. So you end up teleporting when all you wanted to do was quick turn. Its very frustrating.

    All these things are fixable.
