(Havent read all sides, only the first 2)

    Hello guys!

First of, I’m damn impressed about this software at all, really cool tool and totaly worth the money (just sadly running on Win7 and cant use all those features now).

But for now… I dont want to use mods or this GTRVR to get just a seated/standing exp for GTAV, because I’m willing to get this VR-experience in multiplayer roleplay projects. Now I got it so far to work atleast so far I’m able to play with it.
But some questions are still open:

    >I dont really feal any difference (only in Display changes) by switching this 3D enviroment. I’m using my own headset for sound and its doing the job good with simulated 7.2.
    >I can’t get the normal controller features to work right. I only want some adjustments with the right stick, but it seams like override all buttons too. A on my Xbox360 controller always starts recording clips, which should actually be the running button.
    >The side-mirrors in ego perspective during driving arn’t real mirrors, or? For me atleast some dont even work prop. or only show the world and not other vehicle/people in it.

Thanks for you help! (sry for my grama)

hi all. Im using this VR mod > http://grandtheftvr.com/openvr-support/
and im follow all the instructions but i have problems to run this mod with my oculus. When start the game a message says : hit [Numpad 0] to open the VR Mod Menu , i press 0 and i enable the VR mod and switch enable. But the screen goes grey and can´t see nothing. Pleasee see the screenshot i attach here:

can´t see nothing, just like you see in the screenshot. What do you recomend ? uninstall the game and install again and put the files again in the gta folder ? thanks a lot.

I’ve had random issues pop up using the mod. The solution that works for me is to uninstall the game via steam, and then on top of that, trash the gta game folder. Then reinstall the game and then the mod. It sounds like a pain, but it works for me when I have issues.

Minecraft is a good example of a game that a modern studio wouldn’t touch but has had the longevity and engagement that surpasses your Fallouts and your GTAs.

Indeed. Minecraft is amazing in VR with the Vivecraft mod too.

I also disagree. I had some incredible VR gaming experiences in Star Trek: Bridge Crew, Ironwolf VR, Bullets and More, Pavlov, Onward, Vivecraft, Raw Data, Climbey, The Art of Fight, Quell 4D, Warpaint, Elite, and Battlezone.

On the other hand I’ve also been having a blast playing New Vegas for 95 hours and counting using VorpX. I love both VorpX and native VR games.

I think you can and should enjoy all the options 🙂

I am curious. Are you playing New Vegas in Cinema / Geometry mode or in full directVR mode?

I play New Vegas in full Direct VR mode with a wireless Xbox One controller standing. It feels very immersive even with a gamepad. Ralf also suggested to me to try it using the Vive controllers instead of the gamepad because it frees up your hands.

It really feels great to be able to turn with your body and look around with your head. With standing mode you basically take full advantage of the rotational and positional tracking.

I’m guessing there must be some way to have vorpex integrate nvidia’s new SLI support (rendering each eye on a separate video card)…

    https://developer.nvidia.com/vrworks/graphics/vrsli

Sure not many people have two video cards, but what a great way to showcase the potential of vorpx – Imagine GTAV at a rock solid 60fps…

Hi did some more modifications on settings. I turned off the GTA5 ingame upscale and cranked up th Nvidia DSR to 4. I enabled all features in GTA5 to max and in Nvidia controlpanel i chose the highest value on every single choice.
Ambiant oculusion in gTA5 to max
    MSAA off.
The result is a flicker free and even in distant view an acceptable graphics.
I installed the FOV mod ( hud mods dont work) set it to 120.
VisualV and add on with no coronas installed ,ragehook lspdfr and like 30 other mods
    work flawlessley together now.
The image is still not as clear as FO4 or Skyrim but considering there is a lots of airpolution in LS the game looks great.

@Ralph what is the reason that when voprx starts and shows the render info that is different from the game settings.
I have set the resolution in GTA5 to 1920X1440.
If voprx starts the renderinfo says resolution is 1292 x 764

I can change the GTA5 resolution setting to all available resolutions but in vorpx it always shows 1292 x764.

If i change from 4:3 , 5 :4 ,16:9 or what ever the scaling chnages but not the shown resolution… what is blocking the res change?

Solved the issue somehow. Here is link that helped for some parts of the problem.

    https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/grand-theft-auto-v-pc-graphics-and-performance-guide#grand-theft-auto-v-anisotropic-filtering

I have to admit best setting is not sufficiant, still.
But here: I got rid of the excessive flickering and blurry distant view.
I upscaled in the nvidia DSR setting to 2.5.
Enabled all Nvidia controll panel setting and maxed them out.
In GTA5 graphics settings i upscaled to 2.0, and in video settings i enabled MSAA (4 x) and Nvidia TXAA. Turned on vsync and reduced reflection setting.
The ratio is set to 4:3
In vorpx menu i use letterbox 2 ( if i use pixel 1:1 the image has visible flickering edges little bit less in letterbox 1)
The result is i can read street signs in first person and flickering edges and fences and distant skyline flickering is gone. In third person , i have the fov mod installed ( third person set to 120) , the street sign are readable if the character has passed the signs a few meters .
Now the game is playable without annoying sideeffects. But compared to other games like Skyrim FO4 TW3 the image is like looking throug a stained window .

I think GTA5 and CV1 is not compatible in any way. I guess i switch back to Nvidia 3dplay and use my old 3d glasses.

@Ralph,, pls can u hint what graphic effects to use with CV1.

    Watercooled I7 6900k, GTX1080TI watercooled, 6 ssd 500gb

    Skyrim is perfect !
I do have skyrim at a 1920X1440 res. installed. No effects only vsync enabled.
The image is very clear , no coronas flickering or other distorting things just a pain clear image.

I do have GTA5 installed but the image is not comparable to skyrim its so bad.
The resolution is 1920X1440. The image has coronas, flickering no clear image fences look like flickering endless.

same in Witcher 3 (checked all resolution even 4k )slightly more clear as GTA5 but it looks like too crispy with little corona on everything

Fallout4 has a decent image almost comparable to Skyrim.

Which effects to avoid and which to use , i tried all day long and iam fed up now .
The image on screen is ok but in cv1 its all screwed pls give some hints

    Hi,

I’ve not used VorpX for a while. I had GTA V, Alien Isolation and a few others working in the past. Updated to the latest version and I keep getting an error on all games…

VorpX could not initialize your headset since SteamVR crashed when during the init.

    My SteamVR version is 1499136050

I am trying to get Vorpx working with the dk2 on windows 10. I started by downloading and installing the latest Oculus setup which got me the whole Oculus home deal. Afterwards I installed vorpx. I configured both Black Ops 3 and GTAV for use in vorpx. When I started Black Ops 3 it shows up in task manager as running, but nothing appears on the desktop. No game, no error, nothing. In the rift all I see is the Oculus home screen. With GTAV I tried using the launcher and it says it can’t detect game .exe file. Anyone know a way around either of these issues or how to fix
    them?

VorpX Installer Error source file is corrupted

Gets stuck on this file and the following ones.

I tried running as admin and changing the folder location.

HELP! I really want to play some GTAV :D

I don’t think any Vorpx game support independent head an weapon movement. Just try and get used to it. I don’t really think about it. My thumb just correct automatically when I turn my head. I stealthed most of the game, so it wasn’t a big issue, since I didn’t use weapons that much.
I played in G3D VR with full headtracking. I didn’t use DirectVr since it was too unstable and it couldn’t always complete the scan, but I used it for a reference when setting up manual mode, so I got really close. I also turned off the dynamic shadows through the .ini files and I set the image zoom to 0.70 and fov to 90, which helped with the aliasing and image quality and weirdly also made the player height seem more natural.

GTA V has independent movement and head tracking with a Mod via VorpX.

Everytime I open the ingame menu, steam starts taking screenshots. I changed hotkey but it didn’t help. This happens in GTAV with Vive. I have to shutdown vorpx + headset completely to stop the screenshots. Had 324 screenshots after changing settings from the ingame menu.

    -> 1.
That’s what I thought, as both are injectors. For that reason I’ve never used ENB in GTA5

    -> 2.
sounds interesting; gonna check it out :-)

    -> 3.
Nope, I’ve never played with mods or ENB. And I still cannot use VoprX.
I could try re-installing that game, but it would take really long with my internet connection :-(

mods aside: you don’t need scripthook or OpenIV for Vorpx, right? And ENB or any other injector must be deleted before even trying VorpX, as it practically does the same, no?

    1. No, you do not need any mods for VorpX to work. However if GTA ENBs work the same as Skyrim ENBs, they’ll directly interfere with VorpX’s ability to hook onto the screen image (maybe your issue?). To circumvent this conflict, you have to install the Enbboost injector using the alternative method included in the ENB installer directions.

    2. The only mod I do use is the grandtheftvr.com mod which adds full hand/weapon motion controls.

    3. After uninstalling my mod and verifying the integrity of the latest version of vanilla GTA V, I ran the game with the latest version of VorpX, and had no issues. If you have removed all mods and still can’t run the latest vanilla GTA V with the latest VorpX, I recommend starting from scratch by uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
