There is already a topic with a lot of them :

    Geometry VR Game List.

You can check engines&games here :
    https://rjkole.com/gamestuff/engines/index.php

Or looking for the game on the forum.

Or just trying it (the only way to be sure).

From my personnal experience, best profiles are :
    Originals Bioshock 1&2&Infinite
Originals Metro (I tried 2033 it has perfect G3D and 6dof) and Redux versions (I tried Last Light Redux and it was perfect but I recommand a top end graphic card with this Redux version, without even knowing if it’s better than standard)
The ascent (and some others Unreal Engine 4 games) works well.
Black Mesa (&Xen), probably Portal and Dark Messiah.
People say Dishonored, Titanfall 2, F.E.A.R, Mirror’s Edge, Fallout 3, etc. works well.
Probably Clive Barker’s Jericho & Undying too.
Originals Stalker works with good G3D but without adavanced lighting (DX9 only).

Kingdom Come Deliverance, Metro Exodus and Farcry Primal works well enough (and so probably Cry Engine games like Prey 2017 / Crysis 1-3, and Snowdrop Engine games like Facry 2-5)

Even if concerning Metro Exodus, I prefer Z3D during most of the game (except bunkers&spiders which are great in G3D) in order to have raytracing, at least on Reverb G2 (no compression, so it’s stunning).

Some Z3D profiles are very close to G3D (Atomic Heart, Frontier Of Pandora, Unreal Engine 5 games seems to work great from my experience).

I may be wrong, but I think most DX9 games probably have perfect G3D, and some DX11 games too.

I don’t see any good information on how to set this up that isn’t 4 years old. So I tried installing the vorp app that was sent to me in a zip. It hung at 100% for 10+ minutes. I had to kill it. Looks like it extracted everything ok, but when I run link for the quest, turn quest 3 on, run kingdom come deliverance it says attemppting to attach. It comes up with debugging methods. So I installed the hook helper. This did not help. I wnet into the profiles and selected teh kindome come deliverance profile and hit apply. Tried again and a no go. I tried using virtual desktop and it looks like it started to bring it up in 3d and no go. I was however able to get the kingdom come deliverance to show up as a desktop app using the desktop viewer, but that’s not what I paid 60 or whatever dollars for….. I can do that with virtual desktop or through quest link. Any suggestions?

When you download a profile in the Cloud Profiles section, there are instructions next to it (you can also see them by clicking “Edit Profile Properties” even in the Local Profiles section)
Concerning this game, it should tell you how to change the FOV with the console for example.

Anyway, you can usually find this information here for most games :
    https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Kingdom_Come:_Deliverance_II#Field_of_view_.28FOV.29

Or on Reddit / Steam forums.

    Concerning KCD2 :

But as I said, read the comments below this first video because it’s not optimal.
Update by the same person :

    Another topic :
    https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/kingdom-come-deliverance-2-2/
So you should use the Auryza profile (or maybe Starfield) and not the KCD1 profile. You may have to rename the executable in order to make sure VorpX hook with this profile, instead of using first game profile (because apparently they have the same .exe name so VorpX thinks KCD2 is KCD1)

I have the following hardware: RTX 3080, Windows 11, Meta Quest 3, and a 5 GHz router, but I’m not sure it supports Wi-Fi 6.

I’m connected to three monitors; that might be a lot, but even when I disable them, I don’t really notice any change.

I can connect Meta’s Air Link without much trouble, though I sometimes get an error because the 2.4 GHz band seems to be missing — yet the connection still works.

I try to launch Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, but I get lost in the settings. I can start the game on the PC, but it never launches the display in the VR headset.

I’ve tried many things, and it’s quite confusing for me to sum up all the (likely) wrong manipulations causing bugs. The whole setup feels rather erratic. I even noticed that the game’s settings (in 4/5 resolution) would reset when I launched it.

I tested with Fallout 3 to see if I could at least make another game run through VorpX, and that worked quite well.

Could you share any feedback, general advice, or essential steps to make this game work properly?

L’ensemble me paraît assez erratique.

Z buffer rendering seems to have broken for me with Kingdom Come Deliverance 1. Not sure if this broke with an update, as it was working. Z Normal and Z Adaptive both look flat – the same as 3d off. G3D still works though. I have reset vorpx to factory default. I was using Nvidia 572 drivers and upgraded to 581 but no change. I’m running vorpx 25.1.2

I use Vorpx for years now and besides Cyberpunk i never has such a great experience as a have with “Kingdom Come Deliverance 2” , even with the only non official Profile available in the Vorpx library.

This Game is just awesome, its runs incredible and the immersion is so good…

I really wish Ralf make a official Profil for this Game where i can scale the HUD.

    Thanks for response.
A few minutes ago, after launching vorpX, it automatically updated to version 25.1.0, which caused Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 to stop launching. Without the “use alternate hooking method” option, which was disabled by default in the older version of the application, vorpX won’t connect to the game. It causes the GUI to behave jerkily when the game starts. With the “use alternate hooking method” option enabled, the game starts, vorpX displays the message “attaching to Kingdomcome.exe,” and then crashes. Without the vorpX service running, the game (Epic version) runs normally. I don’t want to troubleshoot this version of vorpX because I don’t want to waste my time. I want to have access to the previous version that KCD1 works with. And what do I see on the website? – DOWNLOAD NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE The cutting edge branch and the regular branch have been reunited with vorpX 25.1.0

I tried VorpX V24 with Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 a few weeks ago and I didn’t notice major problem with shadows (maybe G3D wasn’t as perfect as old DX9 games but it was very clean with every shader).

G3D and Z3D (which is good too) were very similar.

I only tried the beginning of the game.

Did you try G3D Shadow parameter on “Auto” ?

Hi Ralf, thanks for making an amazing tool!

I decided to dig into shader authoring to try and resolve the G3D shadowing issue in the original Kingdom Come Deliverance game before buying the new release. I have some background in game production but am by no means an expert so please forgive me if I am incorrect in any of my assumptions.

While going through the shaders, I noticed that the default assignment for pixel shader index 5 #1102815474 (whole lighting) appears to affect shadows only, but is assigned to “normal”, not “shadow”. When I use ‘hide’ the image looks exactly the same except with the shadows disappearing. Am I minsunderstanding how this should work or is it possible that this is causing the issue with G3D shadows in the game?

For context pixel shader #2869449876 appears as an albedo pass if ‘hide’ is used – perhaps this would be the ‘whole lighting’ pass as it would add lighting and shadows to the albedo pass?

While I was going through the remaining shaders I found some cascaded shadows and a few others that I assigned to “shadow”‘, however there is no visible difference after assignment, or after restarting the game. Should the changes be immediately visible after assignment, and is there a way to check if they are being loaded and assigned correctly? Or does the main shadow pass override these passes (and would not show a difference if it has not been correctly assigned)?

I really want to get the shadows workking so I can finish this game and play the new one :)

    Thanks!
    Brad

It seems like Vorpx created a separate profile called kingdomcome.exe. If you want it to work with my profile or another one, simply make a copy of the Kingdom Come Deliverance II profile. Then, click ‘Add File’ and specify the location of your Steam’s kingdomcome.exe. It’s likely that it won’t let you add it and will say that such a profile already exists, showing you where it is. Find that profile and delete it. Then, repeat the ‘Add File’ process from the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II profile, specifying the location of the exe file. After that, my modified profile should work.

I have made custom profile for Kingdom come deliverance II, go and check the vorpX cloud.
Profile was made from Starfield profile.

Thank you very much. Does the 3D effect work for you, though? I am asking because while the game is hooking and loading just fine I have no 3D (Z3D) effect whatsoever. When I switch between no 3D and Z3D there is no difference at all. How did you guys get it working? Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Maybe worth noting: I did not rename the game’s exe, though, because Steam would generate an error after I tried it. So I had to leave the default name.

How would one use your custom profile?

    – Install VorpX V24.1
    – launch VorpX Config
    – Login in “Cloud Profile” tab
    – Search “Kingd”
And you’ll see the profile just after the official one for Kingdom Come Deliverance 1.
    – Select it.
    – Read profile instructions (about FOV edit, etc.)
    – Click “Import Profile”.

Rename KCD2 executable to KingdomCome2.exe (or whatever you want, but it’s the default assigned name when you import).

Launch VorpX, then launch the game.

Of course, you may prefer to launch VorpX Desktop Viewer instead of VorpX (it will allow you to use any desired resolution).

Usually, you should use a very high 4:3 resolution on most VR headsets, like 3840×2880 or 2880×2160 (or more if you can). Don’t forget to adjust the FOV. In the first game, it was possible to change it permanently with .cfg files (112 is usually a good value).

You can adjust zoom level in VorpX ingame menu page 1.

You can use ClarityFX and sharpness to get a clearer/sharper image in VorpX ingame menu page 2 (and adjust gamma, etc.)

You can also adjust headtracking speed.

Even if you use Immersive Screen instead of full VR (clearer at lower resolution and useful when the camera is partially locked), it’s still useful to raise FOV, resolution, and curvature (with vertical option).

How would one use your custom profile? For someone who just bought VorpX today, and hasn’t got much experience with it. I can only see your starfield profile within the Cloud Profiles and no Profile for Kindom Come Deliverance. Do I just change the starfield exe to the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 exe?
