So all I need to do is place the .ini you provided in your google drive link in the outlast2.exe directory and geometry 3d will work iusing vorpx? I’m sorry your post isn’t as ideally comprehensive as I’d like lol

i managed to make the 3d geometry work, you just need to get the Depth access,
what programm you need is reshade https://reshade.me/ and https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/Depth3D

only what you need is the depth access or it wont really work with the 3D,
if you can’t manage to get the depth access then use my ini file and put it where the .exe file is https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6UEgEz-ERXxbWd3TUNxSzh3S3c

    hello,

outlast 2 and prey 2017 are not working at all with vorpx.

previously we could try to copy present profiles and link the game exe and try it in vorpx to see if it works and most of the time it worked.

but with those 2 games, it’s not luck, maybe because they are X64 exe ?
or maybe it’s because the steamapi is steam_api64.dll and not steam_api.dll ?

prey hook using crysis 3 profile but the game crash right before the menu.

outlast 2 hook with some profile but Z3D buffer let alone G3D buffer doesnt work at all.

i’d like to know if a new update of vorpx could make those games works, that would be incredible.

    thank you.

Any news on this? Pretty upsetting not being able to play Outlast in VR when its got all this hype around it. Had same issue. Camera night vision is unplayable shits no bueno.

i’m asking vorpx users if any of You got any success regarding outlast 2 in geometry 3D.

This fact went right over ol’ dborosevs head unfortunately lol

We should all be trying every ue3 game to get it working.

This is EXACTLY what is needed if anyone is going to find a profile that works. I’m afraid that G3D will still be a wait. It’s a tricky beast.

You can have almost identical games, engine and all, sequels that come out only months apart, still require an actual new profile via an update. It sucks but that’s the way it is.

    @steph12
Here is a quote from you, after we waited over a month for any sort of Mass Effect Andromeda news.

oh my…. guys, give Ralf a break.
do you really think games are easy to make them vorpx compatible ?
MEA just got released, and Ralf has probably already his hands full of tasks.
    give him time.

And we weren’t even asking him at that point, just discussing cinema mode vs. direct VR in the thread.

Outlast 2 has been out what, a few days?
Whats it like, being on the other side, waiting for game news? Fun right?
Let me know how you feel in a month.

uh ? i’m not harassing ralf to make it vorpx geometry3D ready unlike you.

i’m asking vorpx users if any of You got any success regarding outlast 2 in geometry 3D.

i’m not a impatient spoiled kid who beg ralf h24.

Hello guys. Yesterday i bought a Vorpx. At first i want to apologize for my english because its not so good but i will try.

Already i dont know anything. I got htc vive and yesterday i want to play outlast 2 in “FIRST PERSON” i installed vorpx , tried to launch couple of time outlast 2 with vorp x. When it launch i have a window close to my eyes and any of hotkeys dont work. Only shift + scroll. No ingame vorpx menu or something.

Well i thought i must try another game. I launch Cs:go , elder scrolls online and always screen was blinking in white and i wasnt able to do anything.

Well i’ll be very glad if anyone will try to “introduce” me to this program because i really wan’t to learn how it works and make some progress with it.

Im a quite smartass so just tell me what shoulda i know EVERYTHING about Vorpx and i will listen to you.

    Thank you very much.

According to the webpage pcgaming wiki:
    Change FOV for different views
    Edit %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Outlast2\OLGame\Config\OLGame.ini

Change the following values to your preference, for example:
DefaultFOV=90.0 – camcorder down, in both gameplay and cutscenes
    RunningFOV=110.0 – slightly wider view
CamcorderMinFOV=10.0 – camcorder zoom in, lower value to increase zoom power
CamcorderNVMaxFOV=75.0 – camcorder zoom out, night vision on
    CamcorderMaxFOV=75.0 – camcorder zoom out

    Attention:
The FOV values to use in headset (oculus Cv1, HTC Live e.t.c. could be totally different, but these are the lines that control FOV)
    ——————————————————————————-

    For Unlock FPS cap:
    Edit %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Outlast2\OLGame\Config\OLEngine.ini
Find bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE and replace with bSmoothFrameRate=FALSE
    ——————————————————————————-

PD: Outlast 2 uses executable 64 bit,and directx 11,so you will most likely need a profile created by Ralf to get 3D Geometry.

something is really wrong with latest vorpx version, i have played outlast like 8 months ago on vorpx and everything was working great.

looks like it’s not the case anymore.

    a fix is needed asap.

Hey, just got VorpX and have been playing around with Outlast for the past couple of days, trying to tweak the settings to get things to work well.

I still have one issue that makes the game unplayable for me, and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or knows what setting will help with that. I couldn’t find any information on this anywhere.

When I’m not using the in-game video recorder/camera, everything looks great with Geometry 3D. Water looks off, but that’s not a big deal. However, when I pull up the camera, things look out of focus, with double vision as if the 3d isn’t really working correctly. Plus, it seems like the middle of the screen is blurred while the edges aren’t, which is very perceptible when you’re looking at an object that goes beyond that threshold.

I’ve applied the game optimizer settings to the game, so I’m not sure what it could be. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Thank you.

I got it to hook by running everything as administrator (steam, oculus software, and vorpx) but once I try to apply the outlast 1 profile in vorpx it wont hook. So for now you can basically only use it on the oculus without 3d, which is probably still more scary that looking at a monitor but still not the same as 3d :/
