Thanks for your help.
I love that feature in the Steam Controller, I have an old profile for the old skyrim but I never exported it to the new Skyrim SE and I´m playing it with a normal XBOX One controller using VorpX.
I could test it to confirm or to help ;)
will update later
The Bethesda stuff works great with VorPX, currently enjoying Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas, and holding off on Fallout 4 to see what happens with the official VR mod… As for performance I just upgraded to a 1080ti which improved things quite a bit, however I’m still not getting great performance.
For instance I can run SkyrimSE with max settings at 2400×1800 and it looks great, but I still get visual stuttering even though Afterburner real-time stats show that neither CPU or GPU are hitting 100% at the time. I’ll have to do more benchmarking, but I’m assuming that brute force just isn’t enough for perfect performance, and there are some inherent bottlenecks with this mod. I’m just not sure if bumping up to an i7 7700 will provide any more performance than i’m already getting with the i5 6500…
The experience is still very enjoyable, even if perfect performance is a physical impossibility ;)
Also enjoying Bioshock Infinte (although it seems to be crashing all the time now for some reason), Resident Evil 7, Far Cry Primal, The Portal games, Deus Ex Mankind Divided.
Here’s a pic of my new rig, most people seem to get a kick out of it :)

Hi. I’ve emailed [removed] a few times now with a request code to reinstall VorpX on a new computer but have heard nothing back. Am missing Skyrim. Please advise. Thanks.
The rotation scan does always fail in Skyrim.
My mouse isn’t inverted in the game options, vortex, or in any driver or OS configuration. Head tracking isn’t disabled. I have restarted my computer as well, what else can be done? It does this for literally every game.
You can check the FPS with ALT+F. A list of shortcuts is available in the config app.
Provided your Skyrim SE is updated to the latest version, DirectVR FOV is applied without scanning, which is the most important thing. Not ideal, but not a major issue if the rotation scan fails. if head tracking feels off, adjust the head tracking sensitivity in the vorpX menu.
In general I would recommend to use the original Skyrim unless you absolutely can’t live without the new, more saturated color scheme. The original Skyrim on most systems runs better with vorpX.
There’s always a chance failure in regard to DirectVR, hence the hint screen that is shown about that during the scan.

Not sure about your Arma III issue, sorry. Works as it always it did. Please mind that Arma III is Z-Buffer 3D only, which provides a less natural and strong 3D effect, but is a lot faster.
If the normal mouse based head tracking is inverted, please check whether you maybe have your mouse axis inverted in the game’s options. If that is the case either change that or use the “HT Invert Y-Axis” option on the head tracking page of the vorpX ingame menu.
Also make sure that you didn’t indvertantly disable the vorpX head tracking in the config app. Doing so might lead to the impression that head tracking is inverted.
And lastly: some special gamer mouse drivers allow to invert the mouse y-axis. If you use something like that, please check whether you maybe have selected that option in your mouse driver.
I bought Vorpx a few hours ago and now instantly regret it, if there is a refund process, I’d like to hear about it. Every game I play has the y-axis inverted and makes me instantly dizzy. Nothing I change in the menus and no matter how I optimize the game, it doesn’t work.
DirectVR doesn’t work with Skyrim SE, just as others have said on here. 64-bit Arma 3 has no support, etc. This program has been a real disappointment so far, and is, at best, freeware. Hoping to get this fixed soon or get a refund.
1) RE7
2) Fallout 4
3) Skyrim
4) Dishonored
5) Mass effect 3
6) Deus Ex Mankind Divided
Wishlist:
– Mass Effect Andromeda
– Assassins Creed 4, 5, 6
– Dishonored 2
Okay so I have an oculus cv1, and I’ve been messing around with skyrim which works great but when I lean in to look at an object the scale of the positional tracking seems very limited and I want to adjust it. I can move my head towards an object like 2 feet in real life but in game it only seems like 2 inches.
I’m using an old ancient version but here’s the top choice cuts in my book:
1) Skyrim (completely modable, highly tunable, 95% perfect)
2) Bioshock Infinite (outstanding visuals, great gameplay and story)
3) Fallout New Vegas (like Skyrim highly modable and tunable)
4) Grand Theft Auto 5 (highly tunable/modable, great visuals and gameplay)
5) Dishonored (Great visuals, ganmeplay and story, DLC is fantastic)
honorable mentions are:
Alien Isolation
Dying Light
I use enhanced camera now, it really makes a big difference to have a body. I’ve already went in and set the FOVs up. I set all to 120 (to match the normal game FOV) but it still zooms in when I sit. I can combat this a little by OVER setting the sitting FOVs to like 143. The downside is it really stretches out the rest of the view although the stuff closer looks better stretched then zoomed in when sitting. Not sure what is making the strange bit of zooming/magnification is when your sitting. It’s not a vorpX issue by any means I think it’s something ‘hard coded’ into the camera.
The sitting zoom issue cant be solved by just over opening the FOV up. It’s as if there’s another FOV type parameter being fiddled with by the game when you sit down. Would love to figure out what it is. Not a big deal but one more layer of icing for the cake lol
Hmm sounds like something that could get ironed out in the future as far as the mounts go? Or is that something of a sacrifice to get the free look cam in direct VR? So what happens when you ride a horse with it enabled? Does steering and looking get all weird? There is always a trade off it seems with VR Skyrim. Gotta have one thing less perfect to make another a little more lol Again thanks for the tips and input.
1) Skyrim with Enderal mod. This makes this years old game seem like brand new
2) Fallout4. Sort of holding off to see if the Vr release will be worth it
3) Grand Theft Auto V
thats as far as I have gotten. Cant give you 5. I am sure there are plenty of other great ones but even being retired I am not even close to finishing those 3.
