Was dicking around with GTAV and the Direct VR FOV is great but it just robs too much image quality unlike other games where its enough eye candy.
Is 1680 the absolute max 4:3 resolution?
Im running a Samsung Oddysey Plus on a 1080ti/8700K system.Apr 26, 2019 at 9:04am #183504moarveerParticipantCreate a custom resolution to whatever you want, I’m using 2700p whenever the performance is good enough at that resolution.
Simply Google 16:9 or 4:3 resolutions, pick a few of them and create them on the nvidia control panel, then give them a try on Vorpx and see how it works.

I found a list and tried to create a custom 3200×2400 res and nvidia control panel told me my monitor doesn’t support the resolution. I own an Asus PG278QR.
Googled and found this list
4:3 aspect ratio resolutions: 640×480, 800×600, 960×720, 1024×768, 1280×960, 1400×1050, 1440×1080, 1600×1200, 1856×1392, 1920×1440, and 2048×1536Other than that cant find anything.
Can you list me the full resolution numbers between 1680 and 2700?As in ____X 2700

Apr 27, 2019 at 10:51am #183546moarveerParticipantI think it say that because you can’t have both DSR and custom resolutions at the same time, but if you can’t get custom resolutions to work, you could give it a try. Did you try this method :

Well of course thats how I enabled 2240×1680 resolution in VorpX.
What I’m asking here is what are the higher resolutions after 2240×1680
that will work in 4:3 for Vorpx? As in
1440×1080
1600×1200
1708×1280
1920×1440
2240×1680

____X____Apr 27, 2019 at 1:14pm #183550RalfKeymasterYou can use any resolution that you can add in the nVidia control panel provided the game allows to use it. vorpX does not impose any restrictions on its own.
Caveat: DirectVR auto resolution currently only supports up to 1680p, so if a profile has support for DirectVR auto resolution, you have to disable this feature on the DirectVR page of the vorpX menu. If you don’t see a DirectVR page in the vorpX menu or this page does not have an option to turn off auto resolution, you don’t have to do anything.

As in I want to make higher resolutions than 2240×1680 but I don’t know any.
Can you fill in the blanks??1440×1080
1600×1200
1708×1280
1920×1440
2240×1680

____X____Apr 27, 2019 at 1:30pm #183552RalfKeymasterYou can create basically any 4:3 resolution that your GPU driver accepts. Common examples would be 2400×1800, 2560×1920 or 2880×2160, but you can also use everything else that your GPU supports.
Keep in mind though that newer games mostly will run not fast enough with such high resolutions.

Yes…Yes Ralf that’s what I was asking.
Thank you.Apr 27, 2019 at 1:53pm #183554blueshark747ParticipantYou can create basically any 4:3 resolution that your GPU driver accepts. Common examples would be 2400×1800, 2560×1920 or 2880×2160, but you can also use everything else that your GPU supports.

As you can see these are the problems Im running into.
I had to change refresh rates to get those to work and the 2880×2160 resolution wouldn’t work with any refresh rate.
Apr 27, 2019 at 2:12pm #183555RalfKeymasterTry a lower refresh rate (e.g. standard 60Hz). 2880×2160 at 144Hz is probably too much.

The new resolutions aren’t showing up in Vorpx menu.
It stops at 1680…what do I need to do?Apr 29, 2019 at 7:29am #183589RalfKeymaster…
