Heads-up for Windows 11 users

Just a heads-up that the last regular vorpX version comes with a severe performance penalty for DX9 games on more recent Win 11 builds. Only DX9 is affected, so if you don’t play older DX9 games, you can stick to the last reguar vorpX safely. But if you do, you should switch to the beta:

Thanks for the heads-up, haven´t used the 23.1 before but now its time for it as I play also lot of older games.

I have had Win 11 for years and have never had a problem with the old dx9 and dx10 games. in fact they are the ones that work best. while the beta version of vorpx there is no way to make it work! and I don’t understand why! I didn’t even solve the problem by formatting the PC!

You lose about half the DX9 performance without the beta. While it works technically due to a fallback method kicking in, it’s a lot slower than it’s supposed to be. If you regularly play DX9 games on Windows 11, the beta is the way to go.
