To your second question: Unfortunately for almost all games some individual adjustments have to be made to make them in work in stereoscopic 3D, that’s why unsupported games ‘only’ work without stereoscopy.

Making 3d activatable for all games and exposing whatever settings you use to make the individual adjustments is imho the single most important thing that’s missing from VorpX and would increase its value by orders of magnitude.

The chances of you buying and configuring all the games I want to use in VorpX are tiny, the chances of you doing this for all the games the community want is zero. This is particularly frustrating for those games which already have excellent 3D when using nvidia’s 3D Vision but none using VorpX (e.g. the Trine series, Street Fighter X Tekken etc).

Whilst I agree that it would be nice to be able to remap hotkeys, the specific problem you’re having can be avoided by toggling edge peek mode (by clicking the MMB rather than holding it down i.e click MMB to activate edge peek, mouse over the menu item you want and LMB click it then click MMB to deactivate edge peek).

I also initially found the distortion of the Vorpx driver induced nausea (something I’d not experienced in the rift at all up until then despite wearing it for over 10 hours on the day my devkit arrived, rather than the recommended 10 minutes).

Although I’ve not been able to eliminate the distortion entirely, I have been able to reduce it enough to prevent nausea by setting the aspect ratio correction in VorpX to “Simple” and the resolution of my games to 1280×1024.

If I look at a circular object like a wheel or a regular surface like a chequered floor I can still see some distortion but it’s much less than I was seeing when running games at 1280×800.
