Excellent – thank you – I can now see it.
Does anyone have any tips on getting head tracking to work? Currently no head tracking at all.
earsParticipantrFactor 2 still just has a black screen in the DK2 after updating to your new version.
I can hear some kind of menu navigation sounds when I move the headset around but the screen remains black.
earsParticipantThanks I’ll give that a try.
Just one more request – GSCE has now become Automobilista but it’s effectively the same game, same engine. Would you be able to include support for it in the next release?
earsParticipantThanks I’ll try both!
Yes – was a while ago but something like a black screen on startup, sound worked but nothing on screen. Something like that.
rFactor2 support is very exciting. Sorry to go off topic but did you look at the rFactor titles too? I could get GSCE to run in the Rift but it had no head tracking.
earsParticipantI saw that – I was going to – but the free demo only provides 15 minute flights before you have to buy.
So as it was VR implementation for an existing game I thought I’d look at VorpX as I’ve already bought it – and sure enough there Flight Simulator X is in the list of supported games.
I just wondered if it was still working – I bought rFactor2 because it was in the list of supported games but it didn’t work at all, although I believe this may be fixed in the next release.
earsParticipantThank you this is great news, especially as rFactor2 themselves don’t seem to be planning to implement Rift support any time soon. Your work will be appreciated.
earsParticipantI found that there’s a head tracking plugin but couldn’t get that working – there are details here – please post back if anyone gets it working.

earsParticipantHi – I’m having exactly the same issue.
Does anyone know how to enable head tracking in this game?
earsParticipantWas there no attention to the issues preventing anyone using rFactor2 with vorpX?
earsParticipantI’m getting a black screen here too. Windows 10 64 bit, Oculus 0.8.
Nothing at all works inside the DK2 – not even pressing delete to bring up the VorpX menu. Mouse control seems to have disappeared – I can see no mouse pointer anywhere.
This is on a pretty vanilla rFactor install – just installed today and only ran once or twice outside the Rift to make sure controls worked etc. Only one extra track – Oran Park – downloaded.
earsParticipantThanks for looking into it – I’ll have a look at working around this. I think I also have a PS2 style controller I might give that a go.
I might have a go at disabling head tracking in VorpX as I’ve been very much enjoying playing the game in cinema mode.
earsParticipantJust a bit more info to try and help.
When I hold the brake button down (in car) the player’s gun keeps appearing and disappearing as if I am repeatedly pressing the left shoulder button. If I was to just hold the left shoulder button (like i’m holding the left brake trigger in) then the player’s gun would come out and stay out.
So even though I’m just holding the left trigger, while I’m holding it in, it seems to be causing the effect of the left shoulder button being pressed repeatedly, rather than just held in.
Hope this makes sense.
earsParticipantHi Ralf – thanks for posting.
I have just double checked and confirm that my settings are as you note above. I have no other controller support programs running and the extra inputs continue as described earlier in the thread.
earsParticipantBut it only happens when VorpX is running right? I don’t see these extra control effects happening unless VorpX is running.
If VorpX is not running, the brake / reverse happens without the gun popping up and pressing green does not start a recording.
earsParticipantAh OK – thanks – so it’s a known thing then?
I’ll try that replay thing, thanks. And my poor GTA man will have to keep driving around in breezy cars due to is obsession with smashing the driver side windscreen.
