ParticipantAnd of course Raif is right.
It is not like playing with a game that can easily convert to VR. It is much better then 2d but not great 3d. Unless you are in Arena Commander the frame rates are too low to enjoy.Eychimo
Participantrun the game in HMD native resolution. that will be either 2160×1200 or 1080×1200. if you have 1080p monitor use downscaling. do not use DSR. here is how to make custom resolution on nvidia card.
this what game should look like if you have done everything right.
hope this helps

ParticipantHmm, not having that issue. Make sure you are using pixel 1:1, letterbox 1 or 2. Then use the zoom feature in vorpx to bring it to your headset. You can also use the immersion setting instead of the full VR one.
Here is a video of titan in game while in vorpX. My in game settings are NO full screen, detail set to High, and I am running 1440p resolution. I do not even mess with the in game FOV. I also turn the chromatic crap to 0 :).Frame rates are not the best, depends on server load. But was getting better frame rates then most with out VR. This was using full immersion mode. I flip the windows on about half way through to show the HMD view. Oculus and vorpX of course do not like overlays, so unabble to give rtts info while in VR.

ParticipantThanks for the latest update Raif.
It works really well now as long as you follow the procedure. Even the immersion setting works. No more using Tridef3D and Cinema mode. Head tracking is great. That was the first time I entered the PU as I did not think it would run well with Star Citizens frame rate. I was just entering Arena Commander where the frame rate is 60 plus easy. But honestly, I could not tell any difference from being in VR. Might have some thing to do with Star Citizens frame rate problem coming from server side and not cpu/gpu.
A basic profile would be great, then we could save our changes to it :)Eychimo
ParticipantHere’s how to set up vorpX to run Star Citizen 3.0

ParticipantThat is what I thought. I did Find a workaround though. Before I always just turned on the mirror feature then started shadowplay. Now it just crashes the mirror screen. For some reason by starting shadowplay first, then turning on the mirror feature it works just fine. Go figure

ParticipantThat is the one i been trying to get to work. It runs just fine in all resolutions in windowed mode

ParticipantOk, I got it working again but do not understand what difference it would have made. After G-force experience had updated I had noticed that Rise Of the Tomb Raider did not have the directx 12 support enabled, so I enabled it. I remembered doing that so I went in without Vorpx and disabled it again. Then reloaded the game again using Vorpx. Worked just like it always has. Then I exited game and tried loading Andromeda again. It too was working again. Have no idea what a setting in one game would have to do with another, but that does seem to be the case. Thanks for the reply and I will say I am very happy with Vorpx

ParticipantSorry, should have put this in technical not general. However, it is just not Andromeda not working, I can not get anything to load with vorpx. Have never had any problem before update. Only other things updated since I last used VorpX is g-force experience and gtx driver updates.

Participantworks just fine for me running 1920×1080 with everything maxed out. You tube video with all the specs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtL_239SJ0U
only glitch I have found, is if I close game I have to reboot to get it to start again. Obviously something in the Game, VorpX, or Oculus is not clearing memory on exit. Not a problem for me as I hardly ever exit a game till I have finished playing. You can tab in and out as many times as you want and that does not appear to have any bad effects. -
