Related to 25.1.2, I decided to chase down why Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 stopped latching in this generation of Vorpx and got strange results…

When there is no local profile saved for the game, it latches perfectly. However, if I make any change (at all) in the in-game vorpx options and save them, the next time I launch, the game starts before the latching dialog appears and latching fails.

My only workaround is to make temporary in-game changes every time I play.

Clearly vorpx is capable of latching, so there must be a fix.

Ralf: Huge thanks the recent updates! The virtual monitor capability alone is a game changer and I’m amazed how well it works for new titles that refuse to latch (e.g. ARC Raiders) and old titles that have ceased to latch over time (e.g. KCD II).

Any chance you could add an option to specify the width of the virtual screen without fixed ratio restrictions? 4096 x 2160 is my go to, 5120 x 2160 at 21:9 is as close as I can get now without sacrificing height, and it’s a tad too much for my rig.

    Thanks!

Actually, this is still happening to me. Deleting the vorpx directory from \Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\AppData\Local\Temp fixes the problem for the next restart, but it returns after that.

This behavior is new for me since last update.

The answer was phantom files in AppData\Local\Temp. When Windows Defender killed the process after the last update, it left behind a mess the reinstall didn’t clean up.

    There’s nothing to see here.

Nope, changing Headset Sync to “safe” didn’t help. FWIW, it’s a high-frequency stutter, which if I’m guessing means a sync not a performance issue.

    Thanks for looking into it…
