    I forgot:
A completely turned off led has a long turn on time making “black smear” when moving your head. The “fix black smear” option in vorpx menu works by preventing leds going off completely, making the darkest black a little gray. Turning this option off makes the darkest black completely black.

If you are usiung a DK2 like me, the powerplug of the DK2 can be unplugged. The DK2 will still work on usb power, but the screen will be darker.

ps. I know in some way this is pretty lame :P , but this can be applied to all your games :D

    Hi Worldcruiser. I can’t help you with all the problems, but about edgepeek;
Look straight ahead(in real life) and press (standard keys) alt+space to place the virtual screen in front of you.

Game profiles are saved in .ini files in C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Animation Labs\vorpX\Profiles .
I’d like to have separation increased above the maximum value of fSeparationNormal=2.000000 for GTA V. Changing the value to something higher than 2 in the GTA V .ini doesn’t work(separation stays at 2.0000 in 3d).

Thank you very much for all your responses.

Unfortunately I’m still in the same situation.

@Jerrow – now that you said that I just went and tried (almost) all the combinations of the “override xbox controller” settings, using the “ok & save” options + exiting and restarting the game after switching the main option to the next one. Still no luck, nothing improved (not even a little) with any combination.

    Have just taken a look.
    Gta V settings:
    -direct input
-mouse sensitivity all the way down.
    Vorpxsettings:
    Override xbox controller : full

headtracking sensitivity in car and out car is almost the same at mine like this.

@lipplog – I have already done that, I know the headtracking with that mod is AWESOME but the game si very buggy with that mod enabled, you can’t fist-fight; some missions require you to fist-fight and with this mod it’s so buggy it breaks all immersion; plus there are other bugs that tend to break immersion (can’t see yourself; I prefer the head-aim which they specifically removed; I find it much easier to move around without the mod active) so overall as gameplay I prefer the basic version of the game but headtracking is a MESS; about the VR mod I guess I only love the headtracking and all the rest I just hate.

Wish I could program it myself… But i don’t have much experience programming and the source code(of vorpx and/or the vr mod) is not public :( .

I highly recommend you download and install the GTA VR mod here…

And follow the instructions. It might help to reset your VorpX settings to default before you do.

I really like this mod also. Head tracking sensitivity is spot on without tweaking!

Sadly when the rift is rolled sideways and you look up/down or left/right, the camera in game goes the wrong way (the more the rift is rolled). Yesterday I mailed the author about the problem. Vorpx headtracking doesn’t have this problem.

Hey, sorry if this is stupid but whatever I do I can’t play this because the sensitivity of the head-tracking while in vehicle is A LOT slower than while on foot. I followed every tutorial possible, I reset the settings (and then set them again) a few times, no matter what I do when I get in a vehicle I have to completely turn my head (in reality) just to be able to look out the window or at the passenger seat.

With input set to “windows” while on foot I have to set the head tracking sensitivity (using Vorpx) to 1.25 to be alright and while in vehicle only at maximum (5.00) it feels ok(ish).

Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

P.S. Of course I already tried turning “Mouse Driving Sensitivity” to max and playing around with the settings (done that for a few hours at least so I tried almost every combination possible) … nothing works.

    Thanks.

Have you also tried the “override xbox controller” settings in vorpx menu(press del) in “input settings” tab?
Btw, No dumb question. I have had the same problem and took me a long time before figuring that out.

Does anyone know how to increase the 3d stereo separation? I would like it above the maximum value of 2.0 . In the file C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Animation Labs\vorpX\Profiles\gta5.exe.user.ini separation is saved as fSeparationNormal=2.000000 . Editting the value in this file to something higher does not help either. I’d really like to see higher separation cause I think it is WAY too low. I love this game it is my number 1, please help.

This is the website of the gtavr mod
    http://grandtheftvr.com/changelog/
there has been change in the controls(see link) since 29 december.
    With the most recent version:
-press “0” to enter the menu
-Set “walk cone angle” to 0.0 degrees.
Now when walking forward you always walk in the direction the camara is pointing. ;)
