Open the VorpX settings ingame (DEL) and adjust the IPD.
I had to lower mine by about 5.0/6.0 roughly, but that’s dependant on the person.
It’s generally lower in VorpX/Skyrim than in the Oculus settings.th3muteParticipant(I’m assuming you have a DK2 btw)
th3muteParticipantHey there.
The first thing I can see is that you probably shouldn’t have it cloned to your primary desktop as the rift needs to run in Portrait mode; which will look small and at a right angle on your monitor.
I have mine set to the left of my monitor (in extended mode) and have it rotated to Portrait. As for getting games to work – I know that in Euro Truck 2, you have to right click on the game in steam and in the properties, enable the Beta support. Restart steam, then once it does its small update add the line “-oculus” (no inverted commas) to the startup option (also through right clicking the game and choosing properties in steam).
I should also add that as Euro Truck has its own internal Oculus support (with full tracking etc), you shouldn’t have VorpX running at the same time.
Remember that any game (HL2, TF2 etc) that has its own support for VorpX shouldn’t have VorpX running while you use native support – if you choose to do it that way. Follow the guides on the steam forums to get those games running natively. They’re fairly straight-forward.Apologies if I’m repeating things you’ve already tried!
th3muteParticipantSeems like I have everything going now, resolution (via the .ini file), head tracking, etc…
However I now have the problem that it is split in to two screens on both eyes of the rift. It happened when I first pressed middle mouse and now every time I press middle mouse to go back to normal/rift view, it takes me out of the game and when I alt-tab to return to it, it’s still/back on 2 screens…
I’ve tried resetting it in the VorpX troubleshooter but it didn’t change things.
Thanks for any help!
th3muteParticipantIgnore my last post – I got it up and running…
Cheers.th3muteParticipantCould you possibly explain to me how to get Opentrack running?
I’ve downloaded the Windows binaries from Dropbox, but somehow I’m missing the part (in my brain) that explains how to run/install it…
Cheers!
