    Vorpx is without a doubt the best $40 I’ve spent in VR software for sure. Gaming in general, dunno about that one, but vorpx validates VR in a way that the native game offerings, (what, two or so years in now?) haven’t yet.

    I was trying to write a review for Dead Effect 2 VR the other day, and found it really difficult to decide how I felt about it as it’s the closest VR native games have gotten to ‘modern day games’. I wanted to praise the game’s strong points like locomotion movement on the motion controller, having a narrative; but the game itself is so bland and behind the times- and that was enforced by just how nuts and fun VR is with vorpx, and having that exist side by side with this highly praised new release- and I realized that honestly I’ve had the most fun in vr with vorpx and games that are already fully rounded. I wonder when, or if VR-built games will ever catch up to the price tag they carry. For the time I’ve had my headset though, Vorpx and my library of owned, and bought-for-vr titles have been cheaper than most of the developed-for-vr games out there.

    I can only hope that the list of games and game engines supported will continue to grow- honestly I care more about the development of Vorpx in games than VR developed games themselves at this point.. The development and updates to vorpx have always been a huge step forward while the VR game market seems to be standing still. I like good games, not overpriced novelty galleries, and software like vorpx be the biggest value in seeing that there really is potential with the hardware, after motion controlled environmental VR sheen wore off.
    I think the first game I tried was GTA V, followed by stalker. I was first blown away with Z3D GTAV, then really had my mind blown with geometry-3d in Stalker Call of Pripyat; some time later, thanks to the vorpx development, now I get to go back and try GTA with geometry 3d and it’ll be even crazier, I have no doubt.

    So yeah, tldr; maybe not in games overall, but for vr gaming- yeah vorpx has been the biggest blessing to the new platform. Here’s selfishly hoping that continues to expand!

    Sorry to necro, but this is driving me nuts.

    GTA refuses to run above 45fps even with nvidia settings reset or set to performance, vsync off/adaptive/anything. GPU and CPU utilization never exceed 30 percent and 12 percent respectively, and no single core is close to maxed. Settings do not impact this phenomenon; I will get drops down to tens and twenties regardless of resolution or settings.

    I’m running an i7-7700k stock with no thermal issues, and a gtx 1080 ti which is also not throttling or overclocked. My memory is ddr4-3600 running at full according to cpu-z.

    I have reset GTA’s profile via vorpx several times to no avail, and this is a new install of Windows.

    So guys…. im getting the same errors… what should I do? Everytime i click on vorpx to run a game its not possible. Not by steam or the .exe. Alwyas different erros from game to game but stopping me from play. GTA IV… Outlast…Farcry 3

    Yup. I came here to see how to sop the shadows from flickering. Did you ever resolve it?

    Never mind. I had my 3D separation strength cranked up. I lowered it and the shadows stopped flickering.

    so after FO4, GTA5, Skyrim, TW3 run perfect with voprx i started to implement ENB and Reshade.
    FO4 enb reshade : Enb (wrapper) GUI works fine and looks like enb is running fine effects changing and reshade is compiling effects.Since i have a main monitor and CV1 i can see the effects of reshade changing the scene. But unfortunately the scene in CV1 is not changing…
    GTA5 reshade is compiling and on main monitor all effects available but CV1 no image change…..
    Skyrim enb (injector version) gui available but no enb settings work reshade compiling and effects availabel only on monitor
    as for skyrim i need the enb for the activating enb boost due to 300 mods installed..

    HI,after reading lots of posts regarding this issue including raplh s statements i took the burdon of relaunching gta 5 like a 50 times to nail down the problem
    First the game runs well in G3D !!!!!
    My resolution is 20XX by 3XXX (4K)
    I do have 100 mods installed though, but no FOV canging mod.
    So to get g3d kick in u need to disable all grahics settings in GTA5.
    Once ur done so start the game and voila G3D.
    If u have G3D working u can enable almost all grahpics settings again. I set mine to very high and ultra.
    The conclusion is just disable all grahic settings and then switch it on step by step again. My problem was the tessalation setting and the vsync those are switched off. Ur problem could be just MSAA Shaders or anything related to graphics improvemnt.
    So just disable all and give it a try…….

    Fallout 3 isn’t made to run at 90. The engine isn’t designed for those speeds. The performance fps wise between FO3 and GTA V can’t be set side by side, they’re not built the same at all. Gta can and should be able to use almost all your systems power but fo3 is not. 45-60 is unfortunatly all that Fo3 can take engine wise. Gta v is much newer and built with modern hardware in mind so it should be able to have better graphics and performance when set next to a game like fallout 3. Not sure how to get your gta v fps higher but 45-60 with FO3 is normal.

    Hi, pls read older post. But here: U gotta put vorpx into pause mode, then start gta5 wait for few seconds ( 10 to 20 ) then hit resume voprx and the game will start….

    Thanks for the reply! However, as I said in the original post, I have actually tried that already! I’ve gone through all the old threads and tried all the suggestions from them. Ralf mentioned in a bunch of those threads that there is an issue with GTAV only playing with 64 bit, so I am thinking that must be what my problem is, as there is no vorpX 64 bit running in my processes, only vorpX 32 bit. So my question is, has anyone else been having an issue getting vorpX 64 bit to run in processes and have they figured out how to get it going?

    You’re right, apologize for the false alarm.
    GTA never has worked on g3d for me, and when I try it and see it working I thought it was the final solution.

    Yesterday I was doing tests, and it does not seem that the hud is related.
    However what I have been able to repeat consistently is if all the graphic parameters are to the minimum I always get g3d.

    Cdidier user from tridef forum has the solution for the lost of the 3d geometry.

    The only problem are the shadows, anyone knows how to disable them?
