Geometry 3D in Halo: Reach works wery well! Even better then Halo 1. Blood, sparks, and some other effects are in 3D

Only the Combat Evolved (original Halo) campaign is officially supported at this point. There should be a message stating that in the top left corner of the game window.

Hi, Ralf! I have some questions about Halo MC:
    1) Halo 2 Is there any way to begin this game in Geometry 3D? (It works in 2D) Maybe needs change something in config?
    2) Framerate in Halo: Reach. No smoothness when turning the camera. It doesn’t depend on performance.
Playing in 2D, I have the same problems. Not only through the Vorpx. Through the native STEAM movie theater and Virtual Desktop, I have the same questions.
Smoothness only appears if I play at 120 hertz in the Index.
Halo 1 and Halo 2 don’t have these problems.
    Thanks!

I downloaded a custom profile for Halo Master Chief collection from dellrifter. The problem is, when I try to remove the halo executable from the default halo master chief collection profile so I can add it to the other profile, the option to add or remove is greyed out. So I cannot reassign the exe to the other profile I downloaded. How do I use profiles other than the default ones?

Forgot about that, I think you mentioned it before. I can’t really imagine why that should be the case, but I’ll check it. In case it’s some hooking issue due to a configuration change on your system, you might want to check for potential conflicts with some other program on your machine. Ideally disable any program running in the background for testing purposes. Also the alternative hooking method might be worth a shot (config app).

In Halo:MCC, similar to other games that dislike simultaneous gamepad and mouse input (a mouse is emulated by vorpX for head tracking without DirectVR tracking), using a gamepad natively only really works well after running the DirectVR scan.

You should see a message stating that in the top left corner of the game window alongside some other game specific hints. Checking these hints, as well as any notification vorpX may show in the headset, often can help to avoid unnecessary trial and error.

If you want to use your gamepad without running the DirectVR scan (e.g. when playing the Reach campaign), you can enable the gamepad override in the vorpX menu, which switches on vorpX’s gamepad to mouse/kb mapper.

Not to complain because it’s probably my pc.I got Halo MCc CE and it was buggy with vorpx.I use a i7 4790,16 ram and 2070.I couldn’t get directvr to work and the gamepad was very buggy and wouldn’t turn properly.

When you launch vorpX next time, it will probably ask about installing a profile database update.

The only change this update contains is switching the positional tracking default for Halo: Master Chief Collection from ‘On’ to ‘Off’ to take care of some positional tracking related shadow glitches that are a bit too annoying in indoor areas for my taste.

Settings changes (FOV, resolution, tweaks): yes. Memory scanner (head tracking): no. The scanner is tuned for the original Halo campaign, you should see a message in that regard when you start a scan.

Just tried it and didn’t need to download another version or anything, it worked straight off. Using dellrifters22’s profile worked although really jittery when looking around playing Reach. I tried the original Halo and that worked fine. Maybe performance was degraded a little when landing on the Halo planet as it was out doors? and the beginning is more confined. On the ship like.

I don’t yet have GamePass, but this article claims the GamePass app has the same two exe options as the other versions (under Recently Played?). See the bottom screenshot:

So there must be some way around it I imagine.

I have it from the game pass, on my Start button scrolling to H, I have 2 options to launch Halo MCC Anti Cheat Disabled (mods and Limited services) and the regular launch option. Is that not the same??

If you are still in contact with the guy, let him know that in The Outer Worlds the DirectVR scanner has to be run before the gamepad works natively. Prior to that the issue you described occurs.

That’s not related to GamePass. Some games don’t allow mouse and gamepad input at the same time, so whenever vorpX emulates a mouse for head tracking issues like you described can arise in affected games. Normally vorpX handles such cases with its built in gamepad to mouse/kb emulator, but in The Outer World that doesn’t work for some reason.

After a successful DirectVR scanner run however the gamepad can be used natively in The Outer Worlds. Same for Halo MCC by the way.
