I installed via steam and also have this issue. There were 2 games I wanted to play on vorpx: bioshock infinite & portal 2. They both have this same issue. It is a beta so I’m sure it’ll get resolved eventually. I tried portal but that was nasty so I’ll just wait…

    mobo: Asrock extreme4
    proc: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor, 4000 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical
gfx.: 2 sapphire 8750 via crossfire
os..: windows 7 home premium: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601

I am also running into the same issue with Portal 2.

If it helps, I am running:
    > gpu: dual crossfire 8750
    > mobo: asrock extreme4
    > cpu: AMD Sempron(tm) 145 Processor, 2800 Mhz, 1 Core(s), 1 Logical Processor … yes I need to replace the cpu soon. it was a mining rig and that cpu is a bottleneck.

Portal 2 will be looked into. One of those cases that aren’t reliably reproducible, unfortunately.

I had a play with the drivers last night. Overall I’m very impressed. Well done Ralf!

I thought I’d point out an issue in case it hasn’t come up before:

I created a profile in the configuration exe. I then deleted this profile (while the driver was running). After that whenever I tried to start the config exe I got the Windows message (I’m paraphrasing) “Vorpx config stopped working”. The configuration exe when never run again, and the same message apperaed whenever I tried to start the driver. I had to do a reinstall. All worked fine afterwards.

Aside from that, the only other issue is Portal 2 crashing out as soon as the game’s menu was about to appear (I removed Steam overlay and it still happened)

    Still, very good work! :D

Hi thanks for the answer, unfortunately i tried the shortcut for games like skyrim, bioshock infinite, outlast, metro last light, portal 2… none of them worked. I cfan’t even access the in game menu of vorpx by pressing DEL.

Happy with Vorpx…steam Portal 2 crashes also. After about two minutes. Borderlands 2 on steam seems to work fine.

Should headtracking just work out the box?

Apparently so, but on the rare occasion that a game has loaded successfully for me (Portal, Dear Esther, L4D2) I’ve not had any head tracking despite what the configuration tool and the in game menu tell me.

    Okay this is beyond frustrating.

VorpX causes most games that I have which are listed as fully supported to crash to desktop.

You can add Portal 2 and GTA IV to what I’ve mentioned above.

I’m inclined to ask for a refund, as it simply does not work as advertised.

This is probably the most anticipated piece of software for me in the next few months. I’m really looking forward to replaying portal 1/2, bioshock infinite and skyrim on it. I actually re-bought skyrim on steam (had in on xbox 360) just because of this driver and the omni. There are probably a handful of gamers such as myself that would pay a premium for early access to the driver :)
