Came here to report the same issue, after reading Ralf’s last post I disabled BakkesMod which also hooks into Rocket League. That fixed my issue. It’s a shame because BM is really helpful for training, and it worked last night, but RL and vorpx both updated since I played last night, so not sure which change caused the incompatibility.

The Steam version still works here. I’ll check the Epic version later, don’t have it installed currently.

The latest vorpX (21.1.0) has an updated Rocket League profile that supports DX11. If you didn’t grab that from the cloud already, it will be available after the vorpX update tp 21.1.0.

I’ll let you know whether the Epic version still works for me or not once the download finished.

Update: Epic version also works here.

BTW: Now that Rocket League belongs to Epic there is a certain chance that at some point they may add their anticheat system, which might eventually break hooking into the game at some point in the future.

I also tried installing hook helper and it still doesn’t help. While it does install successfully, it just outputs “next up” into my headset.

I don’t know what’s going on, rocket league used to work perfectly.

I was using VorpX regularly with Rocket League but stopped for several months. Now Rocket League switched to the epic store for their second season and before VorpX would attach perfectly but now it fails to attach.

It says “attaching…” but nothing happens and the image is not output to my Vive like before.

    Specs:

    Windows 10 Pro
    Original Vive
    GTX 1080
    6700k

    Driver version: 457.51

They recently discontinued DX9 support, grabbing the ‘Rocket League [vorpX]’ profile from the cloud should get you going again.

I tried Rocket League today but couldn“t get it to hook up properly.
It tries to hook up to rocketleague.exe but eventually just pops up on monitor.

I have the Epic Game Store version of it, but other EGS games work with vorpx so its not that…

There is an updated cloud profile with DX11 support. Will be included in the next vorpX version, until then you can import it from the cloud profiles in the vorpX config app. it’s named ‘Rocket League [vorpX]’.

Hey there – just purchased. Primarily for Rocket League.
the -dx9 option no longer works.
Apparently when it went f2p, they discontinued dx9.

Has anyone had any success getting it to work with dx11?

I can’t figure out how to do quotes.
But @Jarilo – Just got my Quest 2 and don’t really have too beefy of a PC.
But you just convinced me to buy Vorpx with your mention of FEAR1 and FEAR2.

So much of my childhood was spent playing those games. Single AND Multiplayer.
I would love to experience them in stereoscopic 3D.

I’m mostly buying Vorpx just for Rocket League though.
Can anyone on here suggest how it is recently?
Most posts I can find are from years ago.

Just checked the Epic version, works fine here.

Make sure that you download the updated ‘Rocket League [vorpX]’ profile from the cloud I mentioned above. The profile that comes with vorpX currently does not have DX11 support, you need the updated cloud profile.

If you already did that: as always with hooking problems, please first and formemost check the pinned trouble shooting post on top of this sub forum. 99% of hooking problems are caused by some interfering background application, most likely some annyoing and unnecessary third party AV program.

There is an updated Rocket League cloud profile with DX11 support now. Importing it should get you going again.

Judging from some training gameplay and a brief online match it seems to work fine. If you encounter any issues, let me know (including exact steps to reproduce!).

I tried to launch rocket league today but couldnt get it started because they discontinued the DX9 support with the new update. I disabled the -dx9 launch parameter. Any ideas?

Currently the Rocket League profile only supports DX 9 so i have to run RL in -dx9 mode. I’ve noticed several things no longer work that I would like to try fixing by running under dx11.

    -Replays don’t save
-can’t chat in game (t and y keys don’t bring up chat box, but if I pause and arrow up to chat box that works)
    -can’t use bakkesmod

I realize we’re at Ralf’s mercy for updating the base profile, but want to try use another game profile if possible even if it’s not quite as good. Any easy way to find out which profiles are already UE w/ dx11?

ryzen 3600, 5600xt, WMR Odyssey+. They don’t sweat at all with RL vorpX, but still it’s not fluent and quite tiring. The game looks good otherwise and seems to have gotten a fair amount of tuning on this profile. I’m just surprised because even 45fps looks smooth in reprojection in native VR games and I really think that should be easily achieved with these specs.

Does it work better with oculus?

Game is so perfect for VR, anyone have any ideas how to make it smooth?

I have noticed that rocket league hooks but doesn’t start steamVR anymore since the recent updates. I tried also starting SteamVR first but rocket league won’t display in the headset. All other games I usually play work fine for me with vorpx still.

Ralf are you able to reproduce this? If not I may try to completely reinstall vorpx as a next step.
