Tried again to see if I could look for that hook helper option. Essentially the game starts booting up and the “Attaching to” box opens up and after about a second after I click the play button for Titanfall both the game and “attaching to…” box close, almost like its crashed on startup. Is there another way to access hook helpers?

Titanfall 2 won’t work. I’ve tried turning off my anti-virus and anything else that the troubleshoot page said might interfere. I hit start on Origin to open up Titanfall 2 it starts loading up alongside the Vorpx hooking message and then after a few seconds it just closes. Would really really wanna play this game with VorpX, if you have any fixes let me know.

After adding custom resolutions to my nVidia CP, I tried to change the res in Titanfall2 using the Vorpx in-game menu (settings like “ultra”, “phenomenal” etc). I can change these and Vorpx pops a message up when i save to say that the game probably needs a restart. When I restart the game a similar message is always shown (“Vorpx changed some settings, this probably requires a game restart”) but the resolution never seems to change. Am I missing something here?

Depends on the game. In Titanfall 2 you can do that in the vorpX menu on the DirectVR page. Whenever that is the case for a game vorpX displays an according message in the top/left corner of the game window as well as in the headset.

Generelly useful hint: always pay attention to any messages vorpX may display in the headset and/or in the game window on your desktop. Saves a lot of trial and error.

In Titanfall i have the resolution 2550x1440as native.i set the game and restarted with the vorpx profile. If i f i switch to full vr it looks a bit pixelated.I also added the custom resolutions in Nvidia.but how do i change it to a better resolution?do i have to do something in the vorpx settings? how do i set the resolution for the game in vorpx? Is it automated?Do i have to push alt-l or al-b or something else to scan direct vr?Kinda confused.

Yes, titanfall for sure, as well as a lot of so called movement shooters (ghostrunner, dying light, etc), feel amazing with 0 headtracking and overdone fov, much speed, no pukes.

As for opposite – full vr mode mirrors edge 1 and 2 work and feel very nice plus you can you vorpx native vr controller support with apps like natural locomotion to have decoupled movement/looking around and armswinger locomotion fits so well to that game.

The fact that Titanfall 2 isn’t mentioned here is criminal, just beat the campaign in VorpX, full geometry3d and it was flawless, worked perfectly.

Note I play exclusively in immersive screen mode.

    Resident Evil Revelations 1&2:
There is a good chance many of you have these games in your library and didn’t give them much thought.
They are elevated immensely by the immersive screen experience.
RE:REV2 in particular ranks up there with my best RE experiences (with vorpx, I haven’t played it in pancake). What might have been typical campy schlock in non-VR was turned into one of the most intense game experiences in recent years for me.

Resident Evil 6: Similar to above except I could never get into this game before, I tried so many times to enjoy this game and failed before vorpx, now it’s kind of a crazy 3d action rollercoaster.

Subnautica -Below Zero: (I think there may be other VR mods for that these days but I haven’t tried them.

Titanfall2 Single Player: If you know how the momentum system in this game works and can chain slides and jumps across the levels then you have to play this with vorpx.

NaissanceE: This game is free nowadays, give it a chance, some great spectacle. A walking sim with some light puzzles

@ haints: There was a vorpX update earlier this year that addresses the weapon issue directly, and Titanfall 2 was among the first 5 games to get the new features.

Okay, that makes sense. I figured it had to be something like that, because having your weapon be the same depth as the ground beneath it in a FPS just seems so obviously a terrible idea. I’ll have to try Titanfall 2 again and see how it looks now. Thanks for the info!

    @haints,

I understand what you are saying about Titanfall 2, as I had the same experience for the first hour+ I was playing with it.
I wish I could recall what is was I changed in the vorpX menu, but something I changed all of a sudden made the 3D ‘come alive’ for myself, so I believe the Titanfall 2 vorpX profile can give a good VR-type experience.

I’m experiencing a similar 2D/lack of depth issue on a game called Outlast.

@ haints: There was a vorpX update earlier this year that addresses the weapon issue directly, and Titanfall 2 was among the first 5 games to get the new features.

Now in the directVR menu you can (A) hide the weapon all together, (B) enable the new auto-hide feature which only raises the gun when looking down the sights or reloading, or (C) my favorite, adjust manually the size/depth and vertical/horizontal position of the weapon/hands to your preference. Now you can make the gun look as big or small or as deep as you want, or just lower it out of view all together. In theory, this will soon be available for most games, and add new functions in the authoring tool that allow us to add these features to our custom user profiles – something I am quite looking forward to.

In short, yes, Titanfall 2 is a good recommendation imo.

</font><font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”>Com’è “fantastico?”</font></font>

    <font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”><font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”>Cosa mi manca qui?</font></font>

well, we are not all sommeliers of virtual reality, I believe that 75% of the “fantastic” judgment refers to the game itself. Then you know, vorpx has its limits. When I use it I don’t look at trifles, such as the imperfect depth of the gun with respect to the floor. Of course it doesn’t perform as well as with Bioshock infinite, but it remains one of the experiences with Vorpx! IMO

Just gave Titanfall 2 a run and that is awesome.

Again, I don’t understand this. Unless this profile was fixed since I last tried it, I’m baffled by the praise it is receiving. Are you not seeing what I’m seeing? If you look down at the weapon in your hand, isn’t it at the exact same depth as the ground beneath it? In other words, it just appears as a flat 2D object? How is that “awesome?”

    What am I missing here?

You can start with bioshock infinite, titanfall 2, bulletstorm full clip, resodent evil 7, resident evil 2 and 3 wot forst person mod.

    Titanfall 2?

The official Titanfall 2 Vorpx profile is completely broken. By which I mean there is zero depth perception between your weapon and the background environment. Look at the ground and your weapon is a flat 2D object with the same depth as the ground. I can’t believe anyone would consider this playable, much less recommend it.

Bioshock Infinite, on the other hand, is indeed an excellent representation of what Vorpx can do at its best.
