I tried the new January 26 update of “Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR” with VorpX and it was hanging the game video. I was trying Titanfall 2 in Desktop mode and the longest I lasted was wave 4 of 5 in Frontier Defense (10 min?). I tried 3 times, and it hung each time. In between I logged out or rebooted.

My system:
Samsung Odyssey WMR
GTX 1070
Intel i7-4770K
HTC Vive connected – but that isn’t booting with SteamVR unless I disable the Samsung Odyssey

Does anyone know about how well Paladins and the new game Gigantic (also MOBA) perform with Vorpx?

I would also kill for geometry 3d with Titanfall….

Also apparently Doom looks bad with Vorpx, despite geometry 3d.

Any thoughts? Or online shooter suggestions? Most the better online shooters don’t truly work with Vorpx.

Hello Vorpxians! I am delighted to have played through Enderal for Skyrim in full Geometry 3D with Vorpx on the Pimax 4K.
It was brilliant and made other 2d games very boring!
Now I am asking you all – what are the best games to play in VR right now?
The requirements are as follows –
1. The game has to be full geometry 3D only – anything less just doesn’t do it!
2. The game must be a full experience – not like those silly little VR games!
3. The game must be high rated in general, preferably first person!

Any suggestions would be great!

P.S. I have tried Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1 and 4, Doom and others – but they are unfortunately non-geometry 3D and don’t look great or immersive enough!

So Im playing TF2 pretty well for a bit, but I get huge frame drops midway through a match – Anyone else getting the same?

Im running my CV1 at 1680 x 1050 – settings that should be alright on my GTX 1070.

Im thinking that its just a lag issue that is making this happen, as I went onto a different data center that increased my ping.

Hey everyone, was just trying to launch Titanfall 2 which worked without issue before update, but now I get:

shared PIC connect failed after multiple attempts (308)

Any ideas? I already disabled anti-virus stuff. Essentially it keeps trying to connect but game doesn’t launch in headset just on standard monitor

I would also love to see a Titanfall 2 profile made. I tried using the profile from titanfall 1 but its just looks like a super zoomed in of the normal game

I have been a vorpx user since DK1 and still enjoy tweaking and playing first person games with it these days in my Vive, thanks for your hard work Ralf and team.

Is anyone aware of any profiles out there for Titanfall 2? I have been using an online profile for Titanfall 1 so far but it’s not ideal as there are only few settings that can be tweaked, which is a real issue as the in-game FOV only maxes out at 90 :(

Ive been playing Titanfall with VorpX and a DK2 for a year or so now, and at release of vorpx 0.8 it was running the best for my system….

Now that has passed, Titanfall still plays really decent but Im asking here to see if anyone has settings they would like to share.

Haha thanks Mack, but I think I read like EVERY thread before I came here to bug them. xD. However the solution below Mack’s comment I will try out here in a moment and report back with my results.

Meanwhile I have another question, I got impatient last night, uninstalled battlefield and reinstalled Titanfall (due to the limited space on my solo 500gb ssd) just to get a game in after a day of wrestling with it. *Kissed Mag 2 before execution*. No hook O.O, oh darn. Is this a thing too?

I have good news for you. You will be able to run tridef games in virtual desktop steam app. It support sbs games and you have head tracking from virtual desktop. tridef milked money and invested in something else. I am also waiting to hear that vive is supported here and I will play gladly for good work.

Developer went offline? no reply in last one week!! Sent a mail also. Wanted to confirm that you will have my money if u add Vive support especially with Games Skyrim , Need for Speed series and Grid 2, Titanfall etc!! I used Tridef 3d now but they dropped VR support fully, So its your chance to make use of the empty market Space!!! So bad for them and good for you!!!!

Titanfall is… difficult. Probably only 2D-mode will be possible, which should already work without a profile.

Does anyone have any insight as to how he got this to work? Iv fixed the crashing issue on startup by disabling the in game origin overlay but I cant figure out how to activate vorpx when the game launches. Iv tried creating a vorpx shortcut, opening using VR Game Manager but nothing works.
