    Hi,
When I launch the game I manage to access the menu but when I load my save the game crashes after loading as soon as I see the gun.
The game runs fine without VorpX.

Do you have any ideas to help me solve this problem?

    Thanks :)

I’m going to give Deus Ex: Mankind Divided a try in VR. I’ve had terrible experiences with Cyberpunk so far and prefer using that “other” VR mod to play it, though it seems a game best suited for 2D for now.

Jul_18_22 – Little Update on this Game

Please ignore the DGVoodo2 profile and use Deus ex: The Fall (G3D) instead. Vorpx
underwent some changes since 2019 which allowed me to fix the game properly now.

Note: The Dgvoodoo2 profile is still working but may not look as good as the new one.

    @commander
    thanks for the feedback

    <strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>Deus Ex: The Fall (DGVoodoo2 v2.6 – DX9) – G3D

    DGVoodoo2 v2.6 required
    – Hexedit DeusEx_steam.exe, replace D3d9.dll with v3d9.dll
    – Rename (DGVoodoo’s) d3d9.dll to v3d9.dll
    – No further DGVoodoo settings required
    – Full VR with Headtracking (use high FOV)
    – Cinema mode on default
    – Profile available at the cloud

    Hello!
I have done your steps, sadly the game won´t start. Can you confirm, that your tutorial still works?

    Thank you for your help!

Deus Ex from year 2000 ? In my opinion you should wait for a Reboot of the Franchise and play a full Remake in the Unreal Engine 5 or something else.

But you can try a PS2 Emu via vorpx, if the vorpx profile is not working !

Good to hear about the other two games, but i asked first and foremost about the first Deus Ex game (the original). Because i couldn’t find any info about it, and it’s UE1 (i could never get Unreal Gold working properly with VorpX, for example).

Has anyone had experience with the Deus Ex profiles (the first game)? Do they work well? Are there compromises involved (missing shadows, disabled shaders?). I’m trying to work out if a VorpX playthrough of the DE trilogy will be a great experience, or if i should play the games flat.

Thought i’d make a list as iv’e been trying out some more games with VorpX:

    1: Red Dead Redemption 2
    2: Cyberpunk 2077
    3: Prey (2017) & Mooncrash
4: Space Hulk Deathwing Enhanced Edition
    5: Shadow Warrior 2

Games that i have not played yet but i have tested them with VorpX & they work good once i set the game & VorpX settings to my liking so will probably be added to my list once i have played more:

    Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
    The Outer Worlds
    Resident Evil 7
    Chernobylite

What is the difference between Zadaptive and G3D? I have been reading posts that say Dx12 doesn’t work well such as this one…

There are a handful of supported DX12 games. Some that I know of: RDR2, Cyberpunk, Deus EX MD. But they’re either flat or Z3D.

For games that support mods there is a workaround to get G3D by using AFR (alternate frame rendering) where the mod changes camera position on each frame to match each eye. But since the game does not stop between frames each eye will see a slightly different scene (unless the mod can also hack timing). Still it’s a lot of work for each game. RDR2 is probably the only DX12 title with such a mod.

Other than that it might be possible if the game itself has built-in SBS support. However there is no SBS profile for DX12 that I know of.

So there is quite a lot of effort going into DX12. However my understanding is that G3D is not possible (at least not in the same way as for DX9/10/11). But you can hook into DX12 games and at the very least you get a flat screen in VR. For some you’ll also get Z3D or AFR (and maybe SBS in the future).

If the games only play on a flat screen, that is already possible without Vorpx using Vive Theatre mode or SteamVR or similar software.

    Hi all,

anyone succeeded to run Deus Ex Invisible War in any kind of 3D (G3D preferably)?

There is neither official nor user profile.

The game runs on Unreal Engine 2 (DirectX 8 according to MSI Afterburner).

I was able to turn in into DirectX 11 via dgVoodoo2 2.6 and tried a couple of Unreal Engine 2 / dgVoodoo2 profiles (e.g. Tom Clancy Rainbow Six 3). While vorpX hooks and dgVoodoo2 is working correctly (I can see both watermarks), there is no 3D.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks.

No dice, oddly Mass Effect doesn’t do it nor Deus Ex Mankind divided.
