RalfKeymasterThis weekend (hopefully) or early next week (probably).

moarveerParticipantGreat news, I can’t wait for testing positional tracking in several games and see how it works
Dec 11, 2014 at 8:49pm #26423
RalfKeymasterPositional tracking will be user unlockable in every Geometry 3D game.
Those that have been tested and found working well with pos tracking have it enabled per default. For all other Geometry 3D games there is an unlock option in the ingame menu when expert settings are enabled.
That’s the best of both worlds: only validated and glitch free games have it enabled, but expert users are still free to experiment.

Brad PulaskiParticipantGreat news Ralf,
Can you say what games work well with positional tracking?
Also have you tested this using the new runtime?Looking forward to the update!

terrydewParticipantI guess it is still technically early this week, but…? Any news?

rossiParticipantDo you believe in miracles?
I dont believe in an update anyways!Dec 17, 2014 at 10:39pm #26498
RalfKeymasterThe last estimate was too optimistic again due to two nasty bugs that for found after that. Both are fixed now, so you won’t have to wait long anymore.
New target is this weekend, and this one will be met 100%.
Provided internet access for vorpX isn’t blocked, your vorpX will automatically update on start as soon as a new version is on the server. You can’t miss it.

moarveerParticipantI hope we can finally get this time!

please take your time so it is done right
not only have positional tracking or 6DOF but have the ability to go forward or backward of the standard POV because some games seem to damn close so the only way would be to zoom out but the top and bottom will have black rectangles

OculusRiftRocksParticipantoh yeah of course wouldn’t that be almost like a FOV hack?
Maybe you could lean in, find a button for ‘reset rift’ then lean back, now you have your FOV increased.

jzer0Participantjust checking if the update will be available today, figured this would be better that starting up vorpx every few min. please don’t rush, just checking.

RalfKeymasterStatus update: programming work is done, still fine tuning a few added game profiles and game optimizer entries to give you more new stuff for christmas.
