I’m trying to get Rayman Legends to work. I saw that there was a Rayman Origins profile in the cloud and tried to make a new profile off of that one for Rayman Legends but it didn’t work. I also tried to run the game in windowed mode and turned off steam overlay. Also, tried alternate hooking method and nothing worked.

Any suggestions? Are there any other profiles that might work for Rayman Legends?

Drop a copy of dgVoodoo (x86) into the game folder.

I copied these 3 files into the game folder as it said here but it didn’t work. Unless I’m doing something wrong:

-Download the latest version of dgVoodoo 2 and extract the archive.

-Open the MS\x86 folder and copy D3D8.dll, D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll files.

-Paste the files into the game installation folder where the game executable is.

You need the d3d9.dll file. The others are irrelevant. Vorpx will complain but it’s safe to ignore it.

Using DGVoodoo2 for a DX9 game requires additional steps https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/news-on-dgvoodoo-2/#post-176451https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/news-on-dgvoodoo-2/page/2/#post-192542

I suggest trying other DX9 profiles from the cloud before doing that though.

I don’t think those steps are “required”, they just keep vorpx from complaining.

From that link: “– rename d3d9.dll to v3d9.dll”

All of my files are named Glide.dll that I downloaded from here: https://github.com/dege-diosg/dgVoodoo2/releases

Also, how do you know Rayman Legends is a DX9 game? I don’t know what profiles are DX9 do you have any suggestions?

I guess Rayman Legends uses a custom engine Ubisoft made called UbiArt Framework. Just wondering what profiles might be compatible with it?

    – The game is DX9 https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Rayman_Legends
    – Use this list to find DX9 games in the cloud: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_DirectX_9_games
    – Best if you forget about DGVoodoo for now, it wasnt a good idea to put you on that train in the first place . DGVoodoo only makes sense if any other method fails, besides renaming and editing files for a DX9 game DGVoodoo requires either the vorpx-DGVoodoo DX11 factory profile or one of my cloud profiles marked with “dgvoodoo”. Note: the latest (dx12) release may not work anymore with vorpx. 2.6 is the latest release ive tested. For older releases use this link http://dege.freeweb.hu

How come the Rayman Origins profile doesn’t work with Rayman Legends? They are still both using the same UbiArt Framework engine…

Tried these profiles so far and no luck. Anyone want to help?:

    A Story about My Uncle

    Abyss Odyssey

    Aliens: Colonial Marines

Forget that I tried to help. I have a copy of the game and it runs fine for me when I dropped a copy of dgvoodoo’s d3d9.dll into the game folder- vorpx complains, but it hooks fine.

    Whatever.

BTW, the game is incompatible with tridef and superdepth3dvr because of the dx9c functions it uses. Good luck finding that compatible vorpx profile, if it exists.

Ogrescar: we appreciate that you want to help, but please also name the profile you were using to produce 3D.
