Would you care to share how you accomplish this?

Bit of a pain to set up, I use 3 monitors next to my vive to do it. My display mirror is showing on my 1440p monitor and I do a region capture on my OBS to stream it to my Twitch, and save it to disk as well.

Only problem is, in VR you can’t check if the recording is going well! I didn’t notice no sound on the fallout vid because of this :)

I’m gonna be checking out many VR games that weren’t intended for VR on my channel so this gives the best compatibility.

Also: does a VR screen capture / video capture tool exist yet? Could be helpful for the “shit” camp to hear the “amazing” camp say “Oh yeah, that DOES look terrible,” or “Nope, that’s the game!” — if such a tool were to exist. (But I’m guessing it does not…)

On my channel I capture the left eye portion of my display mirror of the Vive, works pretty well.

So fallout 4 looks fine for me (It’s a bethesda game so similar enough)- don’t mind the start of the video I was having unrelated issues as well as the sound not recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrQ2InamTJI

My settings for this game are 1280×1440 in a borderless window screen. I recommend playing around with the FOV, mine is actually set to 135. Also make sure to turn off all blur types.

If everything else fails, try some mods?

I hope a triple post can be forgiven if it’s to post a resolution:

I found an old post here on this older thread.

I only had to do this ONCE, afterwards GTA V worked fine even with mod hooks installed.

So basically, pause the watcher by right clicking the systray icon and clicking pause watcher.

Launch the social club launcher and as soon as the launcher gets past where it would say GTA5.exe not found and the launcher disappears, restart the watcher.

Now GTA5 should work in VR again, close GTA5 down and open it back up and it should work no problem!

Please take the time to confirm if this worked for you so people can find this thread if they need help.

Apologies for the double-post but I couldn’t find a way to edit my post.

I confirmed my theory was wrong- with a completely clean install the missing .exe fault has returned.

image zoom have the problem to do width and height at the same time. Also in bioshock infinite the left arm pit block the view of the crosshair. Is there a way to remove the arms from the screen and only have a crosshair?

I think the trick is to strike a balance between FOV and image zoom. This will correct scale and show you the full height of the screen. The only issue I have right now is that games need VR menu mods – but the middle mouse button peak feature is an acceptable workaround for now :)

Curious how many people found that this started happening after installing mods like the script hooks? I have the same issue after installing mods, and I know it worked a few days ago.

Is the injection DLL based? Is it temporarily creating a D3d dll file when injecting? maybe the mod hooks cause a conflict?

At the moment I somehow managed to bypass the exe error message but I am not getting any image just a black screen.
