but the z-modes are almost like playing it on a 2d monitor, geometry is far superior, i dont understand why they didnt make it a launch title for the rift at least, there was a working vr mode already, tested it out with dk2. and didnt play becasue i wanted to play it on a comsumer version hmd. and now this. are nvidia and ati users getting the shadow bug? ati + vive here
Hello,
been playing Alien Isolation for hours. It runs great in general, but there is some problem with some of the lights/or shadows: it is rendered only “for one eye”. Reducing 3D seperation in geometry mode to 0 eliminates this problem, but of course also the 3d effect. It`s a weird to look at such illuminated objects / walls, and after searching the internet there are many people who have this problem, nvida and ati hardware likewise. and i didnt find any solution. using vive, but problem seems to have already existed on rift dk1/2.
Does anyone know how to fix shadows or lights being rendered wrong in geometry mode? It helps to use very low 3d seperation value but the 3d effects are reduced a lot ofc. and z-mode is also sub-optimal.
