ChuckHeadParticipantOk, figured it out. This was totally on me (or Microsoft?). Turns out the Oculus software had an update that was queued long ago, but had hung for whatever reason. Running a repair installation on the Oculus install took care of things no problem.
On another note, I don’t know if you added a bunch of optimization or if I’m just imagining it, but things seem to be running better than ever. Smoother frame rates make a huge difference in competitive games such as RL.
Thanks a ton!
ChuckHeadParticipantSame error for Rocket League. I’ve gotten it to launch a few times, but between all my sporadic clicking and toggling and rebooting and etc, I’ve yet to find an reproducible way to get vorpx to hook without that error.
ChuckHeadParticipantHmm, tried a few other games for a profile (BioShock 2, Dirt 3), and now I just get a “base: start” error message and things wont hook.
ChuckHeadParticipantYeah, touch controllers were pretty tempting. Spent much of the weekend trying every which way to get it to work, but every way I looked at it, I’m just one button short. Oh well, thanks for the kb/mouse fix, that seems to do the trick.
ChuckHeadParticipantAh gotcha, fair enough. Follow up question, is there a way to tell VorpX to use the game pad over the touch controllers? I was having trouble with the touch controllers where the left bumper mapping wasn’t working (holding shift + LT was still LT contrary to what the controller’s avatar in vorpx was saying), but unfortunately, I’m not having a lot of luck with my solution of using the game pad. Tried telling oculus to forget the two touch controllers, but I just can’t seem to get the game pad to register when vorpx emulation is on.
Anyway, happy New Years! Thanks for all the hard work you’ve put in to this, and I truly appreciate the support. Oh, and absolutely feel free to not read this post until later when it’s not a national holiday for people to celebrate not working :)
