romeyromel – until this is fixed, running this command:
/run RestartGx()
will bring back the cursor for exactly 10 minutes.
I have put this in as a macro and key bound the macro.
Hope this helps.davidnicholsonParticipantHi Ralf,
This is the exact same issue as this topic:davidnicholsonParticipantJust to follow up, just doing a /run RestartGx() brings back the cursor. No need for screen res changes.
davidnicholsonParticipantI stand corrected. Even in 1024×768 the cursor eventually disappears.
davidnicholsonParticipantHi Ralf, Just to add to this thread it is exactly the same issue I was having with WOW in this post https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/wow-mouse-cursor-disappears-after-10-minutes/.
It is exactly 10 minutes when this happens if that helps and switching res brings it back for a while. The post explains a little more of what I observe when this happens.
I am willing to work on an beta fixes or troubleshooting with you on this.
I have a development background and have tools like VS2022 installed, etc.
Everything else is perfect if we can get this fixed.Thank you kindly.
davidnicholsonParticipantI spent the last month figuring this out. I don’t know what causes it but if anyone ever comes across this try this… Set WOW to Windowed mode 1024×768. This seems to be the only mode that the cursor stays and the game remains in good 3d.
Now I know what is happening if in other higher res modes in WOW are used. After exactly 10 minutes, Vorpx is setting itself to Immersive Screen Mode then it is amplifying the cursors X/Y position. If you do change resolutions the cursor will come back but only shows the first X: 0-500 and Y:0-500 (top-left) of the underlying screen. It’s like Vorpx only shows the cursor when it’s in the top-left area of the underlying window.
I will submit a bug to Vorpx for this and see what happens.
davidnicholsonParticipantTy. I did try that already.
No luck. -
