Big question of the day….when? I keep refreshing vorpx hoping for an update! I’m Pacific time in USA, so hoping “today” would have happened for me by now… :)
forlaunchcastParticipantYeah, ditto on the virtual hug.
Anyway to actually play RDR 2 through VR headset, even with no 3d effect? I tried with the vorpx desktop viewer, and my beefy PC grinded to a halt! Tried to make a dummy profile, but it couldn’t inject. I guess it’s the whole DX12 thingy.
Regardless, thanks Ralf. Can’t wait until tomorrow! Hopefully, vorpx will get awesome publicity right off the bat on the biggest game release in years!
forlaunchcastParticipantHad same issue. Turn off crystal imaging fixed this. You turn it off on the vorpx settings but can only see setting if you have advanced settings set. Hope this helps.
forlaunchcastParticipantGreat question. I want to play in cinema mode with optimal settings and without the need for endless fiddling. DirectVR gets to those optimal settings immediately. When in cinema, I like to zoom as close to the screen for immersion but still have full visible access to the screen.
forlaunchcastParticipantThanks, Adreus. Was looking for it before your note but couldn’t find it. Will check again and ensure that I have admin privileges on as perhaps it’s some toggle that is only available in advanced settings.
forlaunchcastParticipantI tried SteamVR beta (was non-beta before) and still had problem.
Apologies…what is crystal image and how/where does one disable it? Is it a SteamVR thing or Vorpx thing?
forlaunchcastParticipantSame exact problem, but with Skyrim SE. No problem before latest patch. Looking at another thread, appears to be problem across many experiences but doesn’t rear it’s head until about 20-30 minutes so I can see why this might have been missed in release testing.
The problem is that in about 20 minutes, it starts flickering to SteamVR home (like if loading was happening). Does this for maybe another 5 minutes and then total blackness. Volume and game are still running but you can’t see anything.
Perhaps it’s related to directVR use only.
