I’m looking forward to the G3D in Dishonored 2 (and DOTO) too! Dishonored 1 is my favorite game, I bought VorpX for it and I really don’t regret it ;) It’s amazing in VR!
Luke Ross (the creator of REAL VR) has planned to port D1, D2 and DOTO in VR, but it will probably be with his AER system (Alternate Eye Rendering) which is not really good, I’m both happy and sad because VorpX would have done better I think.
Yeah I also don’t like AER but I’d play it still if there’s no Vorpx support. Better AER than Z3D or flat.
fubarParticipantSorry for digging out the old post but after finishing Dishonored with Vorpx I think it is one of the best VR experiences you can have so I’m devastated to find there’s no G3D for the second game. Maybe now it’ll be easier to make it work?
fubarParticipantGreat job. And yet that luke ross mod with alternate eye rendering takes all the glory.
fubarParticipantYeah, it was a very crappy experience. Weird it’s listed in Good Full VR Games for Beginners thread.
fubarParticipantI was pleasently surprised to see Full VR mode
I don’t think it has a full vr mode, just that Z3D thingy. To make it less blurry you’d have to set custom resolutions but then you’ll get 5FPS with that GPU, so you’re best off just playing it like you played DS.
fubarParticipantNo. Smooth 4k is impossible even with 3080. I play older games at one step below 4k and everything looks great. New games like GTA5 or RDR2 you have to go step or two lower, especially if you wan’t to crank up the MSAA.
fubarParticipantis good for 2d, i’ve tried it with real vr, and is impossible to use it in vr
For real VR there is a separate plugin. I tried it in few games and it works great but I don’t think it will work with Vorpx.
fubarParticipantThat was it. Thanks a lot.
fubarParticipantDid you set custom resolutions?
fubarParticipantThat’s great to hear. Thanks for answering.
