JochenHParticipant
Ralf thank you so much. I started the game without VorPX and changed the FOV to max. When I started the game with VorPx the warping effect was gone. Then I changed the graphic quality on the VorPx ingame menu. That makes the game look really good now.
So my problems are solved, it just looks and plays great.
JochenHParticipantThank you for this “superfast” reply! To make sure I do the right thing: FOV is a slider in the graphic options of the game, it is not maxed. When I start the game I always need to max it by hand. So I change this in the games menu and not in the VorPx menu.
Same holds for resolution. It always starts with 4:3 in window and 640×480, I change that immediately after starting the game.
Do I need to start the game one time without VorPx, change those parameters and then it will be fixed? Or do I need to change anything in the VorPx menu?
JochenHParticipantIs there some update? Does someone work on a profile for Mafia remake?
JochenHParticipantWhat is “hook helper”? I have problem myself that some games dont hook and others do! So please explain how I can use “hook helper”!
JochenHParticipantI read all carefully, stopped all programs in the background, deinstalled the game and reinstalled it. When starting it still does not hook up to a profile.
I give up now, other games like Dishonored or Bioshock Infinity just work with VorPx and I dont have deeper knowledge to find out why Outer Worlds does not hook up.
JochenHParticipantOkay I found this .exe file it is located at C:\Program Files\Epic Games\TheOuterWorlds\Indiana\Binaries\Win64 and the name is IndianaEpicGameStore-Win64-Shipping
I can start the game even without launcher by just starting this exe.
But still no profile attaches. I then made a copy of the outerworlds default profile and added the exe there. But I got a message that this exe is already known and belongs to the outerworlds profile.
I guess I am right that when starting up a game the “attaching to …” window must popping up!? It does not in this case, but with other games it does.
How can I proceed from here? Profile seems not to attach and head tracking is bound to right mouse button.
JochenHParticipantI tried to attach a profile to the game. Just copied an existing one and added the outerworld.exe . So I hoped the game would attach this profile automatically when staring the game, but did not. So how can I force the attachment of a profile?
I recognized that the head tracking is working with my mouse. It does not matter how I configure the game, the head tracking works with mouse and right mouse button hold down.
I want to lower graphics by changing resolution. But than the screen stay black.
So I feel I need some help. Anybody out here?
JochenHParticipantI tried to open the game in the window. Still the same effect that no mouse pointer shows up.
I did not install any mods, just the plain Origin version and directly start it.
JochenHParticipantThanks for the fast reply Ralf! You recommended the “ALT+C” option before but it does nothing.
Its quite strange since the game runs perfectly okay and VorPx has no problem to start it. I sit there in Cinema Mode, look at the screen and have no mouse pointer. “Alt+C” does nothing.
Any more ideas? I think other people play DA Origins and it works well. I REALLY want to play it in VR!
