ParticipantI have this exact problem.
A while ago I removed some drives in windows. Now when trying to reinstall Vorpx, it tells me the error message
“The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another.”
The problem is, it doesn’t allow me to choose which drive I can install it to. At no point during installation is there a choice to install on another drive. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks.

ParticipantRalf,
I can confirm that using dx9 with the unofficial patch works. Geometry 3d is available too if changing to .exe to haloce. Works well except for coronas (which can be disabled) as far as I can tell. Only problem I have is getting 1:1 headtracking.
Any chance we can get an official profile? I can already tell that the game works almost perfectly, but needs a little work to get headtracking.
Thanks.

ParticipantI think it was me who broke the game, not vorpx. I was messing with advanced settings, and turned off something I shouldn’t have.
As far as I can tell, yeah vorpx is working perfectly. I haven’t set up my own profile before so I don’t know how to get it 1:1.
Great game, messing with this has brought it all back. The first skaarj is terrifying in VR.

ParticipantAfter having gotten an almost perfect 1:1 setting yesterday, my game crashed and I had to reinstall. I think I broke it somehow.
Since then I am having trouble getting the headset go back to the central position after looking around. It is quite disorientating. Fortunately you can map a recenter button to the controller in the Unreal menu.
At 1440p (custom resolutions dont work, 1440p is nvidia DSR resolution), right now I use 0.53 headtracking, 0.2 3d fov enhancement. It isn’t great though. And there is a lot of judder on my system. We could do with an official profile. Still it is the best way to play Unreal by far.@Ralf, any chance of official support for Unreal?

ParticipantI was using 2560 x 1440, but it judders a lot. Need to mess with drivers. I think it will depend on your pc/headset setup. I seem to remember custom resolutions working well in vorpx but dont know if unreal supports it. Bioshock for example would let me use an 8:9 or something resolution. Will test and get back to you. 16:9 is kind of a waste cos the edges arent visible.

ParticipantOk, so I got it working pretty well.
In addition to the above points.4) In Unreal disable mouse smoothing, set mouse speed to 1.0.
5) Disable crosshair. You can do it through the old Unreal 1 menu, or by doing this.
https://forums.beyondunreal.com/threads/disable-crosshair.199521/
6) Enable joystick in Unreal. Turn off Looking Up/Down (forgot what the option is called) in vorpx in-game menu.
… probably forgot something but I think that is the gist of it.With the mouse set to 1.0 headtracking sensitivity might need changing a little to get 1:1 movement.

ParticipantSorry that wasn’t written very clearly. Using a phone. Basically:
1) Change your unreal.exe to haloce.exe
2) Launch and set up your game for vr. Resolution, font size, etc.
3) Press delete and select geometry 3d. Add 3d effect to your liking. That is pretty much as far as I got. Dont know the ideal settings yet for mouse speed, fov etc, but ill investigate and edit this.

ParticipantI mean select geometry3d in the in game vorpx menu – press Delete.

ParticipantIt didn’t give a pop up window for me either, but it works after selecting it in the vorpx menu.
I meant I searched these forums for “deus ex geometry 3d”, and someone else had discoveres changing the name of deusex to haloce works (but not hud) so I just tried changing unreal to haloce, selected geometry 3d, increased 3d effect, and hey presto.

ParticipantI tried this and it works, but geometry 3d is missing. So I searched for Deus Ex geometry 3d… and basically, change your exe filename to Haloce and then it works.
Havent played around much yet but it works well. Not many glitches. Turn off coronas and the crosshair, play without hud. The game looks pretty great in VR.

ParticipantI have the same issue, on a gtx 1060. Same frame rate too.
