Game crashes can someone give me a quick walkthrough on settup Vorpx for Red Dead 2
rich0550Participantother thing strangely is there is not Geometry 3d mode or z-depth mode seems to have disapeared and replaced with just full VR
rich0550Participantsorry I mean before I launch the game , just chosing universe, or options and so forth, no mouse to start game, tab and enter works somewhat, but not well enough to change any game options
rich0550ParticipantComing up with another problem with the new profile. The mouse does not work in Star Citizen, with Vorpx running. Turn off watcher or ? Thanks
look like watcher needs off first then turned back on before starting game?

rich0550ParticipantHi Back again.
Thanks,
there is NO geometry geometry option, just full VR mode , in that is spherical so forth. Not seeing the Z-depth options all that.rich0550Participantthanks it seems warpy maybe its the resolution i chose? I will let Vorpx control all the settings. Just to make sure FOV settings all the way up in game settings, no FOV mod, no perfect wide screen running, just vorpx and Vive? at 1600×1200? man this thing is making me sick just looking around even with 75 to 90 fps!
rich0550ParticipantGreat work going to try this! Thank you. Can you I contact you over chat, it helps allot when others have paved the way. Old flight simmer here, all the way back to Kesumia Air Warrior 1993. Looking for a new thing to do.
rich0550ParticipantALSO running 1600×1200 what would be best settings 1:1 pixel?, what FOV, what zoom?
thanks!rich0550ParticipantVorpx really seems to hate game controllers am i wrong? So using Xpadder to map keyboard to gamepad seems to work well for me but maybe it is not the optimum way but i read allot places about using it.
I am using 1600×1200 resolution, letterbox 2, low settings. Game still is pretty sickening even with a 1080 really need to keep it at 90fps when it dips below 70 it really suck. Also the game looks like shit. any advise?
I posted this another thread adding it for reference
Also this aiming with the head is kind of crappy anything that can be done about that? Partially aiming with gamepad but its not right with head screwing up the aim. Advise?
I am 90% there the only thing left is to tweak the FOV better. Should I be using flawless wide screen? Seems easy to use. I don’t see FOV working in Vorpex controls. This seems the hardest part.
This is my setup so far:
System:
Windows 10
Older CPU, and RAM( 4 years i think) – would a newer CPU matter.
GTX 1080Steam VR:
Theator off
Async on and advanced filter on ?
Not set for roomscale, standing only ?
Vive controllers not used just sitting on table.GTA V:
No GTA VR mod used
All lowest settings -Should up MSAA or other AA, or any other settings up? things are pretty
jagged and fug-ley? A friend has a Vive pro would it look better with that?Launch options =- -1600×1200 – borderless -frame limit 0,
Is going beyond the 1280 x 1024 native any benefit??Vorpex:
Z Normal – 3d Geometry loses frame rates about 70-90 FPS – would 120 fps be possible?
Zoom = .9
Change game resolution = off
head tracking = on and roll
HT Sensitivity = 1.45
Cyrstal Image = off
G3D3 = Off
Fluidsync = off
Positional tracking = on / off – shrug is there difference?Xpadder: Xbox One Controller – Vorpex does not let gamepad work correct?
WASD left stick, mouse move right stick, buttons and triggers mapped.Flawless wide Screen
FOV= .34 settingrich0550ParticipantSo we are not to use perfect widescreen for GTA V? Enable FOV in Vorpx settings in game? and add 20% ? Is this correct?
Thanks, game is still a barf bag until can figure this FOV out
rich0550ParticipantIm back getting closer to things working right this is what i learned, if this is wrong please let me know

FOV= 1.20 settingrich0550ParticipantHi ,
I am back with a 1080 life is better. Still some questions. Like its so dam grainy its hard to see anything at 1280 x 1024 or 1440 set in Vorpx? What do do its so bad its hard to play at all on Vive.
question 2 – how can i just run around with gamepad while keeping head in Vive Tracking? Using the Vive controllers are cool but I am used to the gamepad for everything.
Thanks!!
rich0550ParticipantThanks going through this list
1 Confirm game
Game GTA V yes supported2 Chose headset
HTC Vive selected
head track check
roll check
start message check
expert setting check
vorpx as admin check3 download game profile
already there i don’t need to correct?4 Optimize manual tweaks
FOV 120 is this right?
resolution 1280×1024 is this correct?Should I but using any VR mod? or is the Vanilla Game with Vorpx the best display I can get. I understand roomscale and hands are nice but right not just want the best performance, best resolution and minimal issues with warping and motion sickness.
my FOV mod
Walking = 89
Car = 95
Aiming = 89
Crouching = 98
ADS = 98[ThirdPerson]
; Some people have reported issues with changing the third-person FoV,
; so it is disabled by default.
;General = 89As far as in Vorpx settings I have
z-depth thing on
85 for distance set
nothing special really mostly the stock settings.in game settings I have everything set to normal or off, MXAA off
shadows Nividia
1280×1024
fov maximum.rich0550Participantthanks
ok, I tried the GTX970 in that pc also tried the 980ti both get identical frame rates of 45 fps. Is there a cap on refresh rate or something?
Do I need to use a VR mod? I was just playing it with just Vorpx running no VR mod files in directory. What is the benifit of using the VR mod besides getting some room scale and using the hand controllers. Does it look better or is there less motion sickness? thanks! which one should I use if that one is broken?
as far as the gtav VR mod that does not work with Vorpx? sorry confused i thought all the walkthroughs said to use vorpx?
