I used the WRC 8 profile for WRC 9 and with that I get 90fps with every graphic setting completely maxed out :D At least now I’m sure my system can handle it, now I want to find out the difference between these settings and the default profile settings. I had my performance mode turned off, this WRC 8 profile has it on Z3d mode so that’s not the reason why the default profile runs to poorly. Will post here if I found the culprit :)

I have performance mode turned off in Immersive mode. Just did a test – with graphics set to medium (and post-fx all to off) I get between 80-90fps. Only on Low I get a stable 90fps (90 is the max of my G2).
On my monitor I can set everything to ultra and get around 150fps :-/
I’ll test some other games in Immersive mode to see if it’s a specific WRC 9 issue. Thanks for the help btw :)

With 2d I meant playing on my monitor, then I can play WRC with all details to the max without a problem. When playing with Vorpx in Theater or Immersive mode I immediately get this huge fps loss. That Theater mode is not in g3d right? (sorry, noob here, I though g3d was the VR mode?)

No that wasn’t it – before I did the factory reset I restarted the game about 10 times or so – Vorpx just kept mentioning that a restart was needed, no matter how often I restarted the game.
After a factory reset it worked as it should – one restart, the ‘restart’ message did not appear the 2nd time and now the FOV was correct.

BTW I bought vorpx a week or 3 ago, meanwhile bought a lot of Vorpx compatible games on Steam now that they are having their sales. It sometakes takes some hassling to get it working correctly but I just love this program.

Hi Ralf, I already reset the profile to factory default but that didn’t help.
Buttt I just did the ‘Full factory reset’ and that fixed it. I did not get the ‘vorpx made changes, restart game’ message and the FOV was perfect.

Maybe this helps you with troubleshooting – before I did this factory reset, while loading the game you have the press ‘E’ during the intro to continue.
Even though the game was showing on my monitor, my keyboard didn’t respond. I had to alt-tab back to windows and then back to the game before it worked.
After the facory reset, this was not needed.

Thx for replying, going to enjoy this beauty in vr now :D

Well.. after I posted the above I did this:
    – played automobilista2 (without vorpx)
    – played Bioshock 1 original. In my test above I was using Bioshock Remastered
    – Quit Bioshock, restarted, it loaded correctly into my headset

    – Then started Bioshock Remastered. According to the test above it shouldn’t load in my headset, Vorpx altered the game settings.

But it did load into my headset. Quit and tried again, it loaded correctly.
    Goodbye logic :-/

Then I started F1 2020. It did not load into my headset. On my monitor I changed the resolution of F1 2020 to 1600xsomething and set it to windowed mode.
Restarted the game, it loaded correctly into my headset.

So yes, it is resolution related.. I’ll experiment some more and let you know if I can find any logic in this :)

    Hi Ralf,

    Just tested this:
    – turned ‘don’t optimize’ on
    – restored the bioshock game settings

    – started bioshock, it appeared in my helmet
    – quit the game, restarted 3 times, each time it was visibible in my helmet

    – turned ‘don’t optimize’ off
    – started bioshock – got the vorpx message that changes were made

    – Quit Bioshock, restarted – and my Ocolus only shows the loading screen again while the game is visible in my monitor.

Did the same with F1 2020, same pattern. As soon as Vorpx makes these changes and I restart the game, it doesn’t load in my helmet anymore :-/

Ok I tried a new one, Bioshock. In my headset the game loaded correctly, but Vorpx gave a message that it made changes and I had to restart the game.
When I did, it didn’t load into my headset anymore.

So then I opened Vorpx, restored the game settings for F1 2020 and this time it did load into my headset. But again Vorpx told me about the changes and that I had to restart – after doing so, F1 2020 didn’t load in my helmet.

So apparently the changes that Vorpx is making is causing these games not to load into my helmet.. any help would be appreciated :)

Renaming it to version.dll fixed it! :D

    Thanks for the quick reply!
Unfortunately copying the d3d9.dll to the right folder (steamapps/common/red dead redemption 2), where the rdr2.exe is, also didn’t fix it for me.
I also tried deleting my profile in the documents/rockstar games/red dead redemption2/profiles folder, but that also didn’t fix it.
And like sergeant I also get the ‘permission’ prompt now by the way
