Hiya
Im having a hard time setting it up when I run the script the vorpx controls do not work no button bindings or tracking, same with head rotation
Only vorpx menu shortkeys and positional tracking works
Need help, I really want to showcase this mod on the channel
Hey guys.
I made a VR Motion Controls Mod for New Vegas: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/91589?tab=description
Trailer: https://vimeo.com/1070196230
Fallout: New Virtual Reality brings virtual reality motion controls into Fallout: New Vegas and VorpX. With vanilla VorpX and NV, your gun is strapped to your face and you shoot directly where you look. Using this mod, your weapon will follow your hand and shoot in the direction you’re pointing it. You can also point your gun to select NPCs and containers, as well as pick up and move objects. You can also use gestures to open the Pip-Boy, ESC Menu, and select hotkeys. Movement is controller centric rather than HMD centric. Overall, it makes for a more engaging and entertaining New Vegas VR experience.
Please make sure that your CP2077 controls are also set to default and you do dont use any tool/mod that affects input. Under normal circumstances everything is preconfigured correctly out of the box.
I found the problem.
Go to Steam library/ right-click on Cyberpunk 2077/Settings/Controller and in the drop-down menu activate Steam- Input.
Now the controls are fully working as a gamepad.
Please make sure that your CP2077 controls are also set to default and you do dont use any tool/mod that affects input. Under normal circumstances everything is preconfigured correctly out of the box.
Just leave everything input related at default, should be ‘Gamepad’ in case of CP2077. Do not tinker with these settings.
Everything except potentially the resolution and depending on the headset and your PC’s performance *maybe* the headset sync options is preconfigured as it should be.
Ok, so i reinstalled the Mod, set all Game input settings to default and tried again but…
Same problem…
The Oculus Controllers are set in Voprx to “Gamepad” by default.
The annoying thing is, when the control scheme is set to “Gamepad” most of the buttons do nothing…
I can’t move anymore, and pressing any other Buttons except the Edgepeek trigger scheme does nothing…
When i set the Xbox Control overright to “on” in vorpx, all the Buttons work again and i can move but the Steering is impossible because of the full right or left steering..
Please reinstall the mod to ensure that all settings are set to their defaults. Also reset your Cyberpunk input settings to default. Per default the steering gestures work like analog sticks on a gamepad.
Just to be sure…
Should the control settings set to KB/Mouse or to Gamepad in the VORPX Menü?
When i use the KB/Mouse option are the Steering Analog or Digital?
I tryed both but the results are the same for me…
Next step i try to reinstall like you said.
And thx for your fast response!
I love the gesture controls from Vorpx in Cyberpunk but the Steering in Cars is pretty hard to use for me….
I bought the full version of vorpx a long time ago but Cyberpunk i use the standalone Mod for the gesture feature but my Problem is when i try to Steer the car The steering wheel can only be turned fully or nothing at all, which means it is almost absolutely impossible to steer with any degree of precision.
The Steeringwheel icon appears and followes almost exact the motion from my Oculus Controllers, but the Steeringwheel from my car is only move to full right, straight or full left…
Is there something i make wrong here, or is this just the limitation of the gesture controls?
When using Quest 3 touch controllers with Vorpx button mapping, can the grip buttons be remapped? Currently the left grip is used for shift remapping the buttons, and the right grip is used for edgepeek in VorpX, and I would like to be able to disable edgepeek, or remap the right grip so it doesn’t activate the edgepeek.
The remap buttons section of the Vorpx in-game menu doesn’t seem to have a field to remap the the grip buttons.
I know that the edgepeek button can be mapped in the section ‘In-Game Key Bindings’ of VorpX, but that would then change the edgepeek for all profiles, not just one.
As another solution, you can use the option “Use controllers as gamepad” in Virtual Desktop before switching to VorpX. This way, you will be able to use all buttons of a traditional gamepad from your Meta controllers (D-pad is also accessible via the thumbrest touch button).
Whether or not you get gyroscopic head motion depends on how the game in question supports mouse movement and the success of directvr scans to locate specific memory addresses. Not sure what settings you are looking for, an xbox controller is a gamepad and is treated as such.
Greetings:
May I have the necessary settings to apply an Xbox controller to VorpX? This way I can have gyroscopic head motion and Xbox controller support simultaneously.
This fixed turning stutter with a gamepad for me:
-Set CP2077 game Settings>Controls>First-Person Camera(Controller)>Horizontal Sensitivity to ‘9’ to avoid turning too fast. Alternatively, can set to higher number like ’40’ for simulated snap turning.
-Set vorpX setting ‘Headset Sync’ to ‘Custom’. (Press DELETE key to access vorpX settings)
-Set vorpX setting ‘Sync Method’ to ‘Safe’.
-Set vorpX setting ‘Headset Multithreading’ to ‘Off’. (Most Important and makes the biggest improvement)
-Set vorpX setting ‘Cap Framerate’ to ‘Off’. (Seems like the better the FPS the overall less turning stutter)
-Set HMD setting to highest refresh rate possible, its 144hz for me. (I’m running at 60-90 FPS, but seems to make a difference)
I’m using stand alone CP2077 2.21 vorpX app and run Intel i7-9700k CPU, Nvidia 3080ti GPU, Valve Index HMD. Last time I played CP2077 in vorpX was March 2024 and did not experience turning stutter.
VorpX CP2077 app is a fantastic experience. Big thanks!
Really amazing how good Cyberpunk 2077 looks in VR with this free(!) mod.
I have a 3090/5800x3d/Pimax Crystal and if i check with fpsvr my CPU is limited to below 50fps? So my CPU seems to be the bottleneck? Also i get the stutters when turning with the controllers, just read that i have to check the fps ingame with ctr-F and watch the second number – will do that tomorrow.
Question: does an upgrade to a faster CPU like a 9800x3d eliminate the CPU bottleneck?
What CPU Performance do you guys with a faster CPU like an 7800x3d have? I do want to stick with my am4 platform as long as possible, but if this game forces me to upgrade…
BTW., i have the vorpx quality settings at max, ingame most at med/high, no rt, dlss4 performance. Vorpx framerate cap at 50% and headset at 90Hz. Somehow the ingame aspect ratio is 16/9, so many pixel wasted. Should i set the i game resolution to a 4:3 one?
I really want that CPU limit gone and a smooth controller turning! Should i try to run via OpenXR and use Pimax eyetracking with quadview rendering to gain a few fps? Does it even work with vorpX DirectVR?
So much tinkering possible…but the result is breathtaking! Thank you Ralf!
Hello, I recently downloaded Vorpx and was wanting to play Sekiro with the first person mod.
I have the first person mod running and Vorpx loaded up but for some reason I CAN NOT GET THE XBOX GAMEPAD TO WORK. I have spent hours of trying to remap, trying different Vorpx profiles, fiddling with all the controller settings in the in-game menu, looking at prior forum posts to no avail
It keeps telling me to disable the VR inputs when the game boots but there is no toggle for that? The K&m controls work fine, with head tracking and mouse control, so it shouldn’t be an issue with right stick/head track. Is there any fix for this?
I’ve also had issues with the remapping feature, as the key mapping will not allow input (SOMETIMES) from the controller and seems to be reading it as if it’s K&m for example a became y and x became dpad up.
Surely there is a standard workaround for this that I am just missing?
As for now I just made quick hacky workaround to bypass Easy Anti-Cheat for Star Citizen.
It will set system environment variable EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL=1 for RSI launcher and will remove it after RSI launcher is closed.
Paste folowing to script startlauncher.cmd in Cloud Imperium Games\RSI Launcher
launcher directory then set shortcut to the script when using VorpX:
@echo off
ECHO Preparing Star Citizen Launcher for VorpX...
ECHO Will run in User Elevated mode for bypassing Easy Anti-Cheat in system variables.
ECHO You will be asked for elevated commands confirmation multiple times.
powershell -Command "&{start-process -verb RunAs -filepath "setx" -ArgumentList '/M EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL 1'}"
SET EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL=1
ECHO Runing RSI Launcher...
CMD /c .\"RSI Launcher.exe"
SET EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL=""
ECHO Cleaning up...
powershell -Command "&{start-process -verb RunAs -filepath "setx" -ArgumentList '/M EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL ""';start-process -verb RunAs -filepath "REG " -ArgumentList 'delete "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" /F /V EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL}"'}"
Hi!
(G)amepad works, launching game with no Vorpx.
When using Vorpx, I can access in-game menu’s but player character doesn’t move and no buttons are responsive.
I (T)ried all xbox override options – None, Partial, Full – and ch(A)nging controller to KB/Mouse, Gamepad, Auto, Off etc. I also tried removing headtracking and changing other settings and nothing, unfortunately.
Any ad(V)ice?
Thanks!
