Nightingale works very well for me in full VR but the game is very demanding and unusually, I had to configure the game and VorpX very precisely.
I would love an ingame option or a special key binding to disable headtracking while using edgepeek or a key binding to disable/enable headtracking. There are a lot of menus and inventory management in this game.
I can’t resize HUD (or I don’t know how). It’s not really a problem because I usually don’t, but maybe there is a solution working with every Unreal Engine 5 games.
On my Reverb G2, with an RTX4090, I use (with VorpX V24.1) :
– 5120×3840 resolution (just choose this resolution in Virtual Monitor, and the game follow). I wasn’t able to force fullscreen sadly (it may be more optimized).
– 120 FOV (ingame slider is limited to 110 but you can edit FieldOfView in GameUserSettings.ini file in “Appdata\Local\NWX\Saved\config\WindowsClient” folder)
– Judder Protect (it seems to be recquired with this game).
– (And cap framerate at 33% but it’s just because I don’t want to burn my computer).
– Headtracking speed at 5.0/max (I don’t know why I need that much, but It didn’t work otherwise. I have no problem now but I had to ensure the game is perfectly smooth, which is unusual).
– Z3D strenght 3.0/max – Works very well but once again, the game must be smooth. I play with max graphics but I had to use FSR with max quality/sharpness.
– ClarityFX & Sharpness at max. Gamma between 0.9-1.0
There may be better settings, but it works well (considering there is no official profile). It seems a bit sharper&clearer than UEVR (even with lower resolution). It has been more reliable for me (no glitches / crashes).
There should be no need to tinker with anything FOV related. FOV, including weapon FOV is handled perfectly by DirectVR. Just run the menory scan.

I downloaded version 25.2.1 and it won’t install because Bit Defender detects a trojan in it: Trojan.GenericKD.77572100 and blocks the installation
This is a false positive.
vorpX “injects” other programs which some AV programs may classify as malicious behaviour without really being sure about it, and – most annoyingly – without telling their users that they are just taking a guess.
You should report this as a false positive to your AV vendor so they can fix their mistake.
In the meantime please exclude the vorpX program folder from scanning.
Alternatively you might want to consider switching to Windows Defender, which provides excellent protection without being as invasive as some other AV scanners. Windows Defender gets enabled automatically on Windows 10/11 when you uninstall redundant third party AV programs.
I usually make sure Microsoft whitelists new vorpX releases before uploading them, so with Windows Defender you should rarely – if ever – encounter annoying issues like this.
Yes, the overheating caused a restart loop which caused the C drive to become corrupted, so I bought a new one – reinstalled Windows with my user license – and began the arduous task of setting things back they way they were. Because I wanted nothing to do with META I had been ‘unplugging’ the internet from the back of the PC when using VR so I didn’t have to deal with their crap at META after they bought Oculus. Heck – my Rift is so old they didn’t make hand controllers yet . . .
Thanks for getting back to me. I’m a bit confused as I did all this on the ‘current’ PC with the new drive/installation.
Perhaps this is something you need to do in house so I’ll just pretend I’m starting new again like I did a few days back.
My McAfee antivirus detected a virus on “vorpControl.exe”.
I contacted the support and they answer me this:

On windows startup, bitdefender suddenly shows cleaning process and then after a few minutes shows this.
The file C:\Program Files (x86)\Animation Labs\vorpX\vorpControl.exe is infected with Trojan.GenericKD.77572100 and was moved to quarantine.

Can these features be added to Vorpx? PlayStation VR2 and Vorpx is amazing.
I have tried a few emulators that have support/plugins for sbs/ou which can be used with the vorpx desktop viewer.
Rpcs3 – PS3 (games with 3D support only)
Citra – 3DS games
Dolphin – GameCube
I have also heard of
PCSX-Reloaded – pS1 games
PCSX2 – ps2 games
Are there any others?
Would anyone like to do a quick set-up tutorial for any of the emulators for 2025?
PCSX2 no longer does plugins so it could use an update with current version.
Hey Ralf – sorry to bother you with the mundane yet after deciding to do battle with META after losing all drive information due to an ‘overheat crash’, yet reinstalling the VorpX software, filling out the required information and using the copy paste technique preferred, I’m still having no luck in activating the product for use once again.
I made a screen capture of the Email along with the completed VorpX registration menu and following error message incase you want me to send it in an Email as another post was recommended to do.
I waited a couple years before deciding to do this – a couple more days won’t kill me – still, now that I have Zuckerberg crawling through the bowels of my system thanks to META – It would be nice to have the carrot which has caused me to pull his wagon.
As Always – you’ve been great – Thanks.
Quest 2 control issues. The vr itself has been working great, but I can’t figure out some of the controls. The 2 biggest ones right now is that in order to enter hack mode I have to press left shift ie left grab, but to actually hack anything I have to press x which disappears when I press shift. Also, I can’t figure out how to select different dialogue options, is there an easy list or something of controls? Also I got the download on the free version so I don’t think it came with any profiles that might fix this thanks.
I just tried it in VR with vk3Dvision. And the 3D is essentially flat and non-existent. I use steamVR and vr-screen-cap.exe. Set the Stereo3DViewMode = HelixVisionVR. Basically the game vk3Dvision does not produce 2 different views no matter what I change in the ini file. It produces the same view for each eye. Please help.
I don’t think it’s possible to even launch the sims 4 legacy edition any more. There’s no option for it in properties.
Which is very strange, i recall the sims 4 working in vorpx a few months ago just fine, I just had to switch to DX9 in the settings. But doing so no longer works.
“when you are seated for example”
I’m speaking about your character in the game, not “you” of course (like in the boat at the beginning). I think full VR always provides a more realistic optical point of view (perfect 3D & immersion requires you to share your eyes with the character, with the exact field of view and distortions he would have), but what I mean is : if you turn your head too far while you are in immersive screen mode, the view/world stop moving with you if you’re character can’t turn his head further so it’s more “realistic” (despite the black border) and you should feel less motion sickness.
I really like this feature in some cases (and the fact VorpX don’t let you see things your character can’t see, but it still feels natural).
