In reply to: Any RTS games work with VorpX?
dborosevParticipantMaybe I’ll check out xcom. thx.
I think I’m permanently hooked on geometry3D, I don’t think I could go back to flat. :)
I can’t even play monitor games anymore with VR.
Homeworld in G3D would be nice, but I read that its tough to crack that one.
Another few suggestions on G3D if you want to add to your upcoming games list:
– C&C games would be cool.
– Divinity Original SinBut I guess those would be cinema only, so limiting your audience.

mcineParticipantI bought vorps because of this update and rf2 will hook up, but I cannot get it working well with 1920×1080.
xcom wont hook up (steam) , also tried couple thief-games and ms flight sim x.. does not hook up..
I think that the oculus installer installe 5.0.1 for me… can that be a problem ?Apr 8, 2015 at 10:06pm #80863In reply to: rFactor 2 and DK2
mcineParticipantDo you have your main monitor set as display in rf2 settings so if your monitor is primary, rf settings should have primary ?
There is something really strange with resolutions. yesterday I tried with my 720p display and all worked, now I changed to headess ghost to run 1920×1080@75hz and rf2 still complains about resolution at start (says it is 1024×768 or something) and the picture is really small, virtual cinema looks like it is in portrait mode but the view is small in the midde. I tried to change the rift monitor setting to portrait but it went even more messed up. I also tried few other refresh rates, with different outcomes, but non of those worked. 1680×1050 seemed to work quite well with 59hz but not with higher rates (that is my other monitors native resolution). I tried different sync settings, but no help..
What resolution should I use? and what settings ?
I also tried other supproted games in steam (thief, ms flightsim x, xcom) and none of those worked at all.. are steam versoins supported at all?

DukealiciousParticipantThat is odd Singularity is not working for you. I am not doing anything strange although my copy is a retail box copy and not a steam. I did rename the exe to udk.exe you may want to try that. you may want to go into your steam launch options for the game and add a -dx9 line just incase a patch made it dx10. all in all I would try running the game from a renamed to udk.exe executable and ensuring that it is running in dx9 and 32 bit as that would be most like my boxed copy that I know runs in geo and z3d.
I tried renaming the executable to udk.exe with xcom enemy unknown but that didn’t give me 3d so I think it is hit and miss.

ganderParticipantI’m having the exact same problem. Every since I installed Vorpx, Steam games that are expected to hook with Vorpx crash at the launcher or barely into the game.
This includes:
Bioshock Infinite
Skyrim
Portal 2Other steam games work fine (i.e. XCOM, Dawn of War 2 – anything not advertised as compatible with Vorpx). I’ve completely uninstalled Vorpx and I still get the crashing. Anyone have any ideas?
