CylonSurferParticipantRalf, I think I’ll be sticking with Oculus runtime 0.5 until CV1 launches so I can continue playing Elite Dangerous, Alien Isolation and a few other titles. When the new VORPX version lands will my VORPX install auto update and if so how can I disable this from happening?
Cheers

NayliaParticipantSubscribing here in hopes of hearing when 0.9 drops. On Windows 10 with 0.7 and DK2 and can’t wait to try this out! Holding cash in hand…waiting to throw it at the computer screen.

jasonbazParticipantKeep up the great work Ralf. I wanted to say you have given me more enjoyment from my DK2 than any other software. Period.
Thank you man

RalfKeymaster@ jasonbaz : Thanks. I obviously can’t say that myself too loud, but between us I dare to say that this is exactly the way I would judge vorpX. ;)
@ all : an official release date has been set. You can read about it and some major new features that come on top what was already announced earlier here.

shadowselfParticipantSO excited.
I have not been using VorpX for a while now, as I am using 0.7/Win10. Direct mode is a big step forward, and I don’t mind sacrificing so many games for a while to play the few that do work with it. I have put HOURS into Project Cars.
I can’t wait to play GTA V again with VorpX, and I have my fingers crossed for Fallout 4 being supported.

LaserParticipantFeature set looks great for 0.9, hopefully we can test it ourselves next week. :)

peteostroParticipantWill VorpX 0.9 continue to support Oculus 0.6?
Also hows Witcher 3 support coming along?Oct 14, 2015 at 7:37pm #90215
RalfKeymastervorpX 0.9 will require the Oculus runtime 0.7. Extended mode is still available theoretically, but since it’s disabled by Oculus there is no way to use it anymore with Oculus headsets.
Witcher 3 currently has a very good Z-Buffer 3D implementation, there wasn’t time to check G3D feasibility yet and due to it not being a genuine first person game there are others with higher priority. What I can safely say though is that this is one the games where you *REALLY* should choose Z3D even if both modes are available for performance reasons. The best 3D doesn’t help a bit if a game can’t run at decent framerates with it.

I DO NOT hope so, because Vorpx doesnt see the riftdk2 with 0.7 runtime. And as a result of that vorpx won’t start!
