Hi, I mostly bought this to play wow in VR, and hopefully Prepar3D.
WoW is listed as compatible but I have the release Oculus Rift from Best Buy and it doesn’t seem to work. I even downloaded the DK2 tracker.
All I see is the connecting to server screen, a Vortex message pops up, the mouse is moveable for a split second, then it freezes and the game continues to load in a separate window. Help please! If it doesn’t work could I please get a refund? $40 is a lot to pay for something that doesn’t work, and there was no trial that I saw.

Donno about WOW, or any other game with vorpx , except maybe arma3. Check out “FlyInside” for P3D. Developed by a standup guy who stands behind his work, he has a free demo btw. I have it, & it’s great! Lots of luck on a refund.

I’m aware of Vehicle Freelook, & doesn’t help my situation. The only time I can get head tracking in vehicle mode is if I click M mouse for magnify, that tracks for some reason.

All I want to do is use CV1 while in a vehicle or aircraft, without using any other apps. Head tracking only works while in infantry mode. Head tracking does not work by selecting mouse look in the game in vehicle mode.

OpenTrack is absolutely not necessary though if you stick to the normal mouse look head tracking, which works with ARMA III just as it works with any other FPS.

That’s ridiculous. So now I have to wear another head tracking device on top of cv1, & start TIR. If I knew I’d have to jump through these extra hoops I would have never bought vorpx.

When I saw arma3 was supported, I thought it would run straight away. It’s misleading.

You may be right with steam games. I bought vorpx so I could play arma3 on steam (mostly aircraft). I found it working @ about 50% of the game. Ralf tells me he can’t help cause he doesn’t know the game that well. Then points me to some other app crap to get head tracking to work. BIGGEST WASTE OF $40 I EVER SPENT!

The question is, why does FOV & head tracking work in infantry mode, but not in vehicle, helicopter, & aircraft modes? Infantry mode is much less an interest for me as the others. That’s why I’m so frustrated, & feel I’ve wasted $$$.

@Ralf: I set FOV to 120 in vorpx. It returns to default 110 if I check it again I ran the Arma3 cfg. app again. The game aspect ratio is 5:4. I’m playing in Virtual Cinema mode I don’t see 2D FOV-enhancment. IF it distorts as warned, is it really necessary ? I don’t see where to change Z-buffer mode or geometry 3D. other wise, nothing improved for me.

I have CV1 rift. Sorry, I can’t comment on your issue until I have more time with vorpx.

Zoom ?, you mean with right click in Arma ?, or zoom with vorpx, (shift + mouse roll), (I think). I haven’t been deep into vorpx yet, so I may be misunderstanding.

One thing, when in infantry mode all is fine. If I get in a helicopter, I get a smaller view, & lose head tracking. Still in helo, sometimes if I click M-mouse I get a small view open below with head tracking. I don’t know how to get the same view before getting in the helo.

    Thanks,

Oh, I can get it running. Just need to download steam, & arma3 again. As for vorpx I’ll wait… End of story.

All I can say is I’ve had Arma3 from the start with no problems, till vorpx. You can make any kind of claim you want, but that fact remains.
