    Thanks @LukeRoss !
That must also be the reason why VorpX has problems, usually Unreal games work (if needed without 3D).
    Idiot me, hahaha

i don’t have the game installed anymore so it is hard for me to check, but i do remember it looking very pretty with 3D effect (can’t remember if normal or G3D).

If you play in VR mode, did you check how cinematic looks with z-normal ?

2017 and 2018 both use EGO engine. Try making a new profile based of the 2017 profile and assign the 2018 executable. Might work, might not :)
    * edit * i see there are already 2018 profiles in the cloud. Try one of those

I don’t have the game myself but since it uses Fox engine you could try make a new profile based of another game with that engine.

i only see a cloud profile for POS 2014 though, that might be a bit old but you could try.

yes i have and it looks beautiful with 3D (i use cinematic mode). I used a profile of another cryengine game, can’t remember which. But i uploaded my profile to the cloud so take a look if that works for you and let me know if it does not (in which case i will remove it). you might have to adjust the assigned program/.exe

13 and Lightning Returns use the same Crystal Tools engine so there is a very good chance. No guarantees though.
Didn’t check FF13-2’s engine but prolly the same ..?..

Since some games do work you probably have to look at what those games have in common and/or different than the ones that don’t work. Is there for example a difference between how you start the games that work and the games that don’t work ? For example games through Steam don’t work but others do ? Just thinking out loud.

    Just cause 3 and RE7 work fine with me (Rift user). 2 Long shots i would try first;

Check that everything is run as administrator (vorpx, the game, custom desktop shortcut etc.)

Set the game to windowed mode if on full screen and to full screen if in windowed mode and maybe even change some resoltutions ingame (and/or everything GFX related lower to start with) and restart.
Might want to switch “don’t optimize game settings” on in the general vorpx config menu.

You might want to reconsider Fallout 4 VR if moving around is the problem, i play it sitting down in my comfy chair without problems (you can increase eye height if you google it) and it is a blast. Actually aiming the weapons with Rift controllers adds to the game and gfx quality is good. Pip boy on your wrist looks nice and so does the suit. I like Vorpx very much but if there is a “real” VR version
out there (Fallout 4, Skyrim) it usually makes it a bit (or a lot) better.

Thanks RJK_ ! I already tried Unreal 3 and 4 and Cryengine but i did not think of Unity ! Which of course is very popular in game development. So i copied the profile for Life is Strange: Before the Storm which seems to be a 2017 Unity game and……bingo ! G3D working. Still tweaking (for example 3D Strength bit higher) but looking very promising. Thanks again !

For other walking simulator fans out there, i usually like cinematic screen with head tracking off better than full VR. Image quality is usually better and sometimes a mouse is nice instead of head tracking.

Might not work or conflict (maybe not) but if the menu can also be operated with for example the cursor keys maybe you can remap the mouse wheel to cursors keys with a key mapper and hope the key mapper prevails over the fact that the wheel is switched off.
