Agreed – would be nice (for any input type) to disable up/down optionaly: with eg Oblivion it is irritating to have this movement both with rift and the mouse. Makes it also harder to aim anything with a bow or a spell.

Would be better to have only left/right with mouse (or xbox360 controller, …) for movement, and looking up/down only with the rift.

Or is it already possible and I missed it?

Besides: thanks to Ralf for this driver (I know developers get mostly feedback for the bad things, not the good things …) – keep on with the good work!

    Hi Ralf,
thanks for info – with some understanding of current dev situation it’s easier to wait for your release.
Nevertheless, have to agree: some blogged status update from time to time could limit the complaints and calm the roaring mob ;)
The idea of a beta/early adopter release is nice – of course the driver has to be mature enough. Although preview tests of VorpX like that in the C’t sounded very near to this …

Dears. Please not another pubertal thread with covering each other with insults.
I am interested in some serious info about a release date (or some facts about the silence around this project). Nothing more, nothing less.

Hi, got my “processing” mail from Oculus today – so very curious about status behind the silence … Any official statement would be great (hi Ralf :) )

Articles and tests in the press were very promising (especially in the C’t). But since weeks there is death and silence in the blog.
    Technical problems?
    Commercial issues?
A very long holiday in Antarctica without any internet access?
