Are you at the point where users can purchase even though you aren’t done yet?  I’ll gladly pay full price to get in on a beta set of the driver.  I have several games I’m very interested to stick my head into, and would gladly provide feedback / testing too.  I can think of a few others that would do the same.

No fixed release date yet, sorry. I don’t have my Rift yet (awaiting it shortly though), so I still can’t exactly tell how long the final adjustments will take.

When do you expect your Rift?

Is there a place to sign up to be notified when the driver is available for purchase? This driver seems like a perfect item for kickstarter. Early adopters get a discount, alpha/beta access and it could help you fund the purchase of kit(s) off ebay. If you are looking for testers / early buyers, I’m interested.

I think everyone waiting would be happy to pay whatever the price will be, even for beta software. The tech demo scene and Half Life 2 can only keep you busy for so long :D
I literally only want it for racers :)

I’d love to have a signup too so I don’t have to look every day (twice :) ). Also I hope your Rift arrived now – as many others I’d also already pay for the beta (or alpha) of your driver.

Mine arrived a few weeks ago. I still don’t have a fixed release date for vorpX though, sorry.

Are the UI’s for games going to be fixed, or is this similar to Virieo driver? If so, why would anyone pay $50 for your driver, if there is already one for free?

You said to use that within two months ago that VorpX would come out shortly after the dev kits start shipping and youd get yours. Well you have stated you have had yours since for about a month now….and other sites are getting to try out the beta and such. I really do not understand why you could not just go ahead and sell the drivers now.. and users can get the beta now and get the full version when it comes out too. First of all this would actually start getting you income from your hardwork already (so the longer you wait to release it then the longer you’ll see any money from it too) and second of all as its been posted it seems many of us would be glad to pay and have an beta version right now.

because theres really not all that many actual games that run on the Rift right now and we would really like to have more options and such. I am getting my rift in about two weeks as is a good group of people from the US. could you please, please try to release something within the next two weeks? you pretty much said a month ago that “you arnt sure when its being released” It doesnt have to be perfect. and i think thats the problem with some devs is that they think the software they have has to be “perfect” before they release it. It doesnt. looks like from the previews and all it is very nice in what it does now.

I just hope this doesnt become one of those projects that gets a lot of reports on it but keeps slipping month after month from release because its “still being worked on” you said i think before that once you get your rift it would be released shortly after that….well its been a month already.

I therefor urge you to release the drivers as it is now for the 40 bucks as i would be glad to buy it now as many others would too just state that its in beta stage thats all…..it just would be nice to have this to play around with in two weeks when i get mine.

please please dont wait another month or two to release this ok? thanks.

and i dont really understand why you havent updated your blog in a month to at least at the very least link to the roadtoVr articles ..for some of the cool infomation about VorpX …the price….the fact that world of warcraft works for it..the fact that now 80 games are supported instead of just 50. were found on 3rd party sites!

seems your doing a great job so far but….a bit more commmunication here and some promise that it will be released soon and not in another two months or so ..would be nice.

thanks……(and others who woudnt mind paying to play the beta version now should add a comment as such to this post too!)

VIREIO, while neat (I use it for some games) currently has a LOT of limitations. Currently it only works with DirectX 9 (though they are working on that). At the moment I’d still take VorpX as they seem to be the better product, but if VIREIO does complete the enhancements they are working on it’d be a tie, which comes down to price…

Maybe 1 ore 2 more links to Vireio daniel?

You may want to read this article from .

As jwsimmons already said in another thread, vireio ist an ok solution, but has some issues.VorpX could be superior to Vireio.

Vireio and VorpX, Im getting them both. To me it’s all about the experience they can provide, not the money. Perhaps Vireio will provide the better experience with some games, and VorpX will provide the better experence with other games. The only way to decide is to compare the two once they’re finished. Right now overall the Vorpx looks very promising, but frankly, if the Vireio suddenly cost money, I’d pay for that one as well. All I want is the best possible VR experience, if that would mean VorpX for some games and Vireio for others, then that’d be fine by me.. .
