Is it true that we can use Vive controllers as gamepad?
If so, how? I thought that they can only emulate the keyboard and mouse. Can we use haptic feedback also?
tonkaParticipantI set Pitool back to Small and restarted SteamVR but Vorpx stayed on the Normal setting and I had to do a factory reset of the profile to correct it.
tonkaParticipantActually forget Normal, it seems to give weird problems with audio and suddenly the screen is tilted a bit and I can only move at one speed in Rise of the Tomb Raider.
tonkaParticipantActually Normal is a bit better. Nicest would be to not see the edges at all.
tonkaParticipantI agree about immersive, the screen is too small and you can see all the edges at least on Small, Normal is much better it seems.
tonkaParticipantOk Ralf, thanks for your trouble.
tonkaParticipantHave you tried it in this game?
Anyway I give up so I have changed the game control settings to the default Vive controller settings.
tonkaParticipantI know that is how it should work but it ignores my press on the keyboard completely.
It seems that all inputs are being intercepted by the game and not passed to the Vorpx menu so if I press I the inventory screen is displayed but the Vorpx menu remains on ….
tonkaParticipantI get the … but the only inputs that seem to work are the mouse buttons, the rest give me DEL and my keyboard has no effect.
tonkaParticipantRalf, it doesn’t work, it’s not possible to input anything.
tonkaParticipantHow are you supposed to change the default Vive controller settings?
Inputting from the keyboard does nothing neither does using the key already assigned to a button on the controller.
tonkaParticipantThe game has no input options for gamepad. My Xbox One controller works fine apart from using the Back/Start buttons for Menu and Edge Peek which don’t work as they should with short and long press however it appears that the game only works with Xbox controllers so I will have to try to set the Vive controllers to KB/mouse.
tonkaParticipantRalf, I mean being able to choose to display/hide the FPS counter as a setting in the menu.
tonkaParticipantWhy is the display of the FPS counter not in the Vorpx menu, it’s a bit difficult to reach the keyboard when in VR.
tonkaParticipantThanks Ralf, I am playing Rise of the Tomb Raider in immersive mode and it was set to partial but I had no vibration so I set it off and then vibration worked and I noticed no difference with the gamepad controls.
