    Instead of tinkering with vorpx and Z3D… just get an older version of the game, it had “unofficial” native VR with great G3D (only the menus ingame are not properly displayed but you don’t really need them).

    I have implemented a workaround for the next update that makes vorpX use the old method when the mod is detected. Will probably be out in two weeks or so.

    BTW, it would be nice if the installer asked before closing apps, I just lost all my opened tabs :-(

    GTA VR is a free third-party mod for Grand Theft Auto V offline which works with VorpX 0.9.1 and Oculus Runtime 0.8

    It’s called “GTAV-R HUD” and you can find it on nexusmods (for some reason I couldn’t post the link)

    Actually I wrote a GTA VR updated guide some time ago but my english is a bit embarrassing, I would prefer to have someone checking it before posting it on reddit (you know how these guys are hard to please ;-)

    BTW, another important mod for us : “CGE Dynamic Radar and HUD 2.0” makes your HUD switchable (with a button or automatically when you get into/get out of a car)

    Actually there is a perfectly working HUD mod but people are too l*zy to search (I updated it for 8:9 custom resolutions a few months ago already)

    Hey Ralf, I have a dumb question :
    How can I set the game to 1080p when my current monitor is only limited to 1280*1024 ? I tried the “-width 1920 -height 1080” line but no chance. Ingame I’m limited to 1280*1024.

    Yes, I will tinker a bit with frontend.xml (problem of tinkering this game is it’s awfully long to load, even on fast SSD. But you know very well…).

    BTW: While being at it I added HUD scaling and recalibrated the 3d strength to a better default value. Will be available with the next vorpX version.

    Great news, this game deserve it indeed.

    (makes me think that HUD scaling for GTA V would be great also, the HUD mod doesn’t display the minimap with the VR mod))

    Was someone able to get to see the minimap in game ?
    The GTA VR HUD mod works, except we the minimap is not displayed…
